Toyota is reaching out to all American Sienna minivan owners for an immediate recall of over 600,000 models. The shift lever may be malfunctioned and can result in a vehicle rolling away while in park. Take the minivan immediately to a dealer who will review the vehicle for this recall. The following models all stemmed from the Toyota plant in Princeton, Indiana.
- 2004 and 2005 models
- 2007 and 2009 models
- 21 accidents have occurred in the United States from this malfunction, resulting in minor injuries.
- Canada, Mexico, Guatemala and Germany owners have also been notified for this recall.
While the over 600,000 Sienna minivans were produced in Indiana, this recall affects all owners with the models listed above.
