Chicken Meat Sold in USA Contains Arsenic

Chicken coop

The FDA has finally gone on record and confessed that chicken meat which is sold in the USA contains arsenic. They have tried to ignore this issue for many years, pushing it under the table, believing that no one would happen to take notice. Arsenic is a chemical which is known to cause cancer and is lethal in large amounts.

Yet what is really scary is how the arsenic gets into the chicken in the first place. It is put there on purpose. What make this even more terrible is that the FDA explains how the research it has done is showing the arsenic put into the chicken food goes straight into the chicken’s system and then the meat is eaten by humans. This means for around the last six decades or so American citizens who have been consuming chicken meat have also been taking in the deadly arsenic.

Before this study was released, the FDA and the poultry industry both kept denying any arsenic was being given to chicken to help plump up the meat. The preposterous excuse which the FDA gave to the public for the past sixty years was that the poison was being removed in the feces of the chickens. Neither the FDA or the poultry industry had any sort of scientific reasoning for giving out this statement.

Yet now the proof has become undeniable so the producers of the chicken feed product known as Roxarsone have chosen to take their product off the market shelves. Who is the company which has laced chicken feed with arsenic all these many years? That would be Pfizer. This is the exact same corporation which manufactures various vaccines having chemical additives that are injected into people of all ages.

In fact, the business which produces the Roxarsone chicken feed is a partner of Pfizer. They are named Alpharma, LLC., and although the company has agreed to yank the lethal feed from shelves in the USA, the company has not agreed to take it off the market in other countries without being required to by officials.

Even as the company’s merchandise comes down off the shelf, the FDA still says the arsenic which is in the chicken meat is at such a minute level that the food is still completely safe to consume. This, at the very same time that the FDA explains how arsenic increases the chance of a person getting cancer.

The FDA has an ally in the National Chicken Council. The council sent out a written statement that said chicken was safe to eat yet also admitting to the fact that arsenic had been used with many chicken flocks across the U.S. Yet while this is going on, the FDA goes after many companies that sell herbal products or anything they label dangerous. They also state how it is not safe to drink raw milk. Yet they state it is perfectly fine to ingest arsenic.

In addition to this, with beef and hamburger meat, the litter of chickens which contains arsenic gets fed to the cows which are to be butchered in factories. That means the arsenic which is excreted from the chickens is eaten by the cows and then builds up in their muscle mass. That, of course, is what becomes hamburger.

But back to the chicken meat being sold in the USA, which is full of arsenic. Is this going to stop because of one company stopping the production of feed? Only time will tell.

I think it’s worthwhile to discuss the chemistry of organic arsenic being converted to inorganic arsenic in chickens. That being said, its VERY important to understand the difference between the two – something that this article completely fails to mention. Regardless of your opinion on that, it’s a solid fact that this isn’t a coverup or a crazy example of the FDA being in bed with chicken sellers. It’s always been public knowledge that ORGANIC arsenic is added to chicken feed. This is just an example of public debate and responsible scientific research determining that the negligible rate at which organic arsenic gets converted to inorganic arsenic is no longer considered acceptable. I’m glad the stuff is outlawed now, but it doesn’t help to get hysterical and completely misrepresent important facts.

lol it is not Obama’s fault! Did these people miss where it said the FDA/ these companies have been feeding their animals using arsenic feed for OVER 60 YEARS? Was Obama in office back then? NO!

Actually, it is factual and you can read a wide variety of news articles verifying these facts. FDA states that inorganic arsenic is found and numerous studies have shown the exposure to inorganic arsenic is dangerous, short term and long term. Do a Google search or read the news. I do have my concerns over the long term issues resulting from this announcement and the increased risk to our family that has a history of cancer. At what point is exposure “safe” vs increasing the risk of cancer for those eating the chicken?

“In a study of 100 chickens, the FDA found that chickens that had eaten the Roxarsone had higher levels of inorganic arsenic — as opposed to organic arsenic, which is naturally occurring — in their livers than chickens that had not been fed Roxarsone. Inorganic arsenic is more toxic than the naturally occurring form.”

      A study of 100 chickens? That’s hardly a sample.

Not the mastermind since he has very little mind, but you can bet that he would okay it if it would hurt the American people!

Just because there is arsenic in soil doesn’t mean its ok to add it to chicken feed. There is mercury in the ocean, can I pour it into your coffee?

I shouldn’t tell you, then, that arsenic is found naturally in soil. OMG IT’S ALL OBAMA’S FAULT

This is all Obama’s fault. Obama is a pres who lets the federal agencies run riot with their corrupt practices and their bought-over officials.
