Chris Brown was caged this morning for acting like an animal Sunday morning. Brown found himself in trouble with the law again, while on probation. The singer was arrested on felony charges in D.C. after allegedly punching a man outside of the W Hotel.
It was reported that Brown got into an argument with a man at the hotel located at 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue. The argument quickly escalated and resulted in Brown attacking the man.
According to Brown’s previous tweets he was in D.C. to perform at event on Saturday night at a downtown club.
Brown is already on probation and as a result is not eligible for release until he goes before a judge. Therefore, Brown will spend the night caged for acting like an animal.
It’s been reported that Brown wasn’t alone in his actions and that his body guard was taken into custody as well.
This is not good news for the singer; it looks like he’ll be holding on to his bad boy card for awhile longer.
Brown was initially put on probation after an altercation between him and is 2009 girlfriend Rihanna. He was sentenced to five years of probation along with an excess of 1,400 community service hours.
The rules that govern probation require Brown to stay away from any legal trouble. Even if he’s not convicted of a crime his actions could result in a violation to his probation charge.
Brown’s probation was revoked momentarily earlier this year after the singer was involved in a hit-and-run accident. He received an additional 1,000 hours of community service.
The 24-year-old singer hails from Virginia but now resides in Los Angeles. He has been involved in multiple incidents since his initial arrest in 2009.
He was sued for a fight in a nightclub between his entourage and fellow singer Drake.
He also had an issue with singer Frank Ocean surrounding a parking space at a Los Angeles recording studio. Even though Ocean didn’t file charges against Brown, another man, Sha’keir Duarte claimed he had a concussion and sued Brown.
Brown is already due back in court for his 2009 probation on November 20 and this new incident will no doubt have an unwanted impact.
Los Angeles prosecutors for the Rihanna case may seek a revocation of Brown’s probation and request additional penalties for Brown; including jail time. However they are standing by to see how this case plays out before making plans for the singer’s future.
It seemed as if Brown was on the road to recovery until this year. He survived a few minor incidents with the law but felony charges are a different story. Brown is scheduled to attend court on Monday to see what the next step in his journey will be.
The recent violation could mean that the Grammy winning singer could face up to four years in prison, if found guilty.
The man Brown allegedly assaulted was injured during the altercation and reportedly taken to a hospital. His name wasn’t immediately released nor his injuries clarified. He was released from the hospital Sunday afternoon, according to police.
Police have also stated that the felony charges Brown received in the case were partially based on the degree of the victim’s injuries.
Chris Brown can’t seem to stay out of trouble. He was charged with a felony assault early Sunday morning around 4:30 in Washington D.C. His 35-year-old bodyguard, Chris Hollosy, was also arrested on assault charges.
Due to Brown’s probation he is being caged until he sees a judge for acting like the animal that he is.
