The concert promoter was being sued by Jackson’s mother, Katherine and his three children, who stated that AEG Live was to blame for the singer’s death after putting him together with Dr. Conrad Murray, who gave Jackson the drug Propofol, which led to his 2009 death.
AEG had said Jackson was responsible for his own death, and Murray was kept on staff at Jackson’s own request.
The jury found AEG had hired Murray, but believed that Murray was not incompetent to execute his duties. The jurors were united on each decision.
Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at age 50.
