Muslims to Celebrate Eid on October 15

Riyadh, Oct 5, 2013: According to the press release issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the moon for the month of “Zil-Hajj’ – the 12 month of the Islamic calender- has been sighted. The final rites of Hajj will be performed on October 14, while “Eid-ul-Azha” will be celebrated on October 15. “Eid-ul-Azha”, is the second religious festival of the Islamic calender. It is celebrated after the performance of Hajj. “Eid-ul-Azha”, remembers the occasion when Prophet Abraham, on the order of Lord God, was ready to sacrifice his son Issac, according to the Judeo-Christian tradition and Ishmael, according to Islamic tradition.
