PIA Plane Catches Fire at Take-Off

Karachi, Oct. 6, 2013: One of the engines of a Pakistan International Airline plane caught fire soon after it took off from the Quaid-e-Azam Airport International Airport. But because the other engine was running smoothly, it was able to land safely. The Civil Aviation Authority’s officials rushed to the runway which had been immediately cleared for its landing. The plane was carrying 50 passengers and no one was hurt in the accident. Emergency has been declared at the Quai-e-Azam International Airport.
