When it comes to bromances, it’s going to be difficult for any new couple to hold a candle to Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, but some fans of American Idol are saying that Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. could give the Voice judges some stiff competition when it comes to the blooming thrill of bromance. The Voice judges versus American Idol-which is the better bromance? Here, we provide an in-depth analysis into both relationships.
First of all, fans noticed immediate chemistry between Urban and Connick Jr. on a recent episode of Ellen. Then, a quick social media search turned up this red-hot bromantic gem. Back in September, Connick Jr. Tweeted: “@KeithUrban is extremely attractive up close. and he smells really good.” This prompted many squeals of delight from both male and female fans as well as overall agreement on Urban’s hotness and probable delicious scent. There was also much discussion about how far this new bromance will go. It’s only in the very beginning stages, but it seems there could be some intense flirting in the future if Connick Jr. is already starting out talking about how attractive and sweet-smelling Urban is close up.
While some feel that the fiery passion of brand new bromance love could far outweigh the same-old, same-old humdrum sparks between Levine and Shelton, the two Voice judges certainly have longevity on their side, and plenty of bromantic banter under their belts. The chemistry between Sheldon and Levine built up slowly over time and started out as teasing. Slowly but surely, that ribbing turned into outright flirting-at least on Blake Shelton’s part. He recently admitted that he goes on Twitter every day and sees people talking about his bromance with Adam. He had this to say about it: “All I can say is, it’s true. I have a man-crush on Adam and it blows me away that people can pick up on that just by watching it on television. I want to kiss him. I want to kiss him so bad. I don’t care if it’s mutual or not…He’s sexy…he’s sexy, is the word I’m using.”
Just last week, Shelton said their love-hate relationship is part of what keeps him going. “(It) makes me happy. I live to make him feel bad about himself,” he said, “I would say where there’s smoke, there’s fire. We’re very attracted to each other. I’m already married, so it’s never going to work out.”
But sorry, guys, the only evidence we could uncover that Shelton may actually be bisexual is a Tweet from a couple of years ago that says “I’m bi. And no they’re not. Are they yours? 😉 (via @K3lly_Ann) You’re bi?!?! Happy happy joy joy!!”
No word on what “they” are or what else Shelton was referring to in this Tweet. It’s difficult to tell from this one exchange if he was serious or joking. Adam Levine, on the other hand, has been adamant about the fact that he is straight, although he does have a gay brother.
So while both of these red-hot bromances continue to bloom, fans will surely be glued to their TV sets to see which bromance is better: The Voice versus American Idol. Do you have anything to add to this in-depth analysis that we missed?
