Instead of charity donations, The Ellen DeGeneres Show” gave Spears a birthday surprise during rehearsals in Los Angeles. She met with the show’s own Rosie and Sophie Grace, who learned her choreography and had a birthday tea with the pop princess. She even dressed up as a pop princess with a tiara and pink tutu. Spears will be on the show on December 3 to talk about her upcoming album and Las Vegas show, Piece of Me.

According to will.i.am, some of the songs on 31 year old Spears’ new album are written by her; although will.i.am has helped and contributed to one of the songs. Producers include David Guetta and William Orbit.

Spears is focused this year on giving thanks. She has a new boyfriend and her career and life are back to heading in positive directions. It makes sense that she would want to spend the time thanking others for their hard work. Asking her fans to donate to charity for her birthday is one of the way Spears is doing that. Every little helps when it comes to charity and St. Jude is thankful for all donations.
