The Google Nexus is currently the center of many rumors with the 8 and 10 tablets rumored for release on Black Friday. The only confirmed option at the moment for that date is the Nexus 7 available in the sale; the smaller tablet of the three. Another possibility is the launch of the Nexus 5 in India sometime next week.
The Nexus 7 Tablet Features
The cheapest 7 will be available with a 16GB memory. Google removed the 8GB option during the release of the last 7 in the summer. It will be available for $200 during Black Friday; $29 cheaper than the launch price. It may sound like just a small amount but the technology giant isn’t known for its discounts during the Black Friday sales and offered nothing last year.
The Nexus 7 is named due to its 7-inch display. The 8 and 10 have an 8-inch and 10-inch display respectively. The smaller display screen makes the whole device smaller and easier to carry around. It is perfect for those who want something to just grab-and-go, simply putting it in their pocket. It weighs just 0.64g, too, making it one of the lightest tablets available.
The images are perfect for gaming and, of course, it comes with the popular Android operating system.
The Nexus 8 and 10 Rumored Features
When you want a slightly bigger screen, there is the Nexus 8. According to rumors of the Google Nexus 8 and 10 tablets, the 8-inch device will have the Snapdragon600 CPU, which is quad-core. It is another great option for gamers. The KitKat Android 4.4 system will be the operating system and there will likely be an 8GB version of this for around $200.
The 10 2 is supposed to be a major upgrade from its predecessor. It will have an 800 chip processor and up to 32GB of memory. A 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution is expected compared to the 8’s 1200 x 1920 resolution. Prices are likely to be the same as the original Nexus 10 with the 16GB version being available for $399.
Google Nexus 5 in India
The latest Google Smartphone, the Nexus 5, is likely to hit Indian shores by next week. Unlike the tablets, the Smartphone will not work with any microSD cards, so there is no option for gaining extra space. However, that will not likely put Indian residents off with the 16GB version available for Rs 28,999 (about $464).
It will include the same processor as the new 10 is likely to have and comes with a slightly smaller than 5-inch display at 4.95-inches.
The Google Nexus rumors for the release of the 8 and 10 tablets has not yet been confirmed by Google officials. However, Black Friday seems like a strong date and an excellent time to release the two new options. They will definitely give Apple a run, which has just released its iPad Mini with retina display and is already struggling against the likes of Samsung and Google.
