Although the iPhone 5S is now resting comfortably within consumer’s pockets, millions are contemplating the 2014 release of the iPhone 6. What will it look like? Will it be smaller, larger? Housed with a flexible screen? As much as Apple remains mums the word on specs and future blue-prints, sources close to the company are talking. Rumors suggest the iPhone 6 will be equipped with a curved screen.

iPhone: Revolutionary or Evolutionary?

The Galaxy Round is ready for the States
The Galaxy Round is ready for the States

The Galaxy Round was recently introduced by Samsung and all signs point to it arriving to the United States. The Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S already feature that sweet smile design. The Round, as described by tech experts is intended to fit comfortably for the face as a user speaks on the phone. It is intended to do extremely well once it arrives to the States. In this suggested rumor from the Apple gossip mill, is the big fruit company once again make just a revolutionary step?

Ever since the spiritual departure of one Steve Jobs, Apple has been fighting to find footing in the crazy mountain called smartphone overload. With the injection of engineering for the fingerprint sensor, will further demand call for beyond what already exists? iPhone 5S made waves for its under the hood appeal; the M7, A7 64-bit architecture took the line to another whole level. Even the color variations boosted serious sales for Apple. For the iPhone 6 release date, consumers will want more than a curved screen, right?

What Consumers Want in an iPhone 6

Preparing for this article, an earlier visit to the local Apple store demanded answers from the consumers who emerged. Many were trading in older iPhone generations for the newer iPhone 5S and one consumer purchased three iPhone C’s for her children. Speaking to an Apple store employee who denied providing their name stated, “The rush was heavy for the iPhone 5S, I think its in part to Apple’s advertising and the fact they keep designs so secret, even from employees. While I think a curved screen can be seen as a step backward, consumers may just disagree.”

Dee L. from Mayfield Heights had just purchased the iPhone 5S from the Apple Store and had this to say about the iPhone 6, “I know I expect something more from Apple. This phone is cute, don’t get me wrong, but it’s really time for them to step up. I am really hoping to see a big screen something like 6-inches. I also would like to see a thinner design.” Several consumers agreed. Big is in and many buyers want to see Apple foray beyond the 5-inch realm.

iPhone 6 Speculation and Predictions

Sources close to Apple have advised the iPhone 6 will release late in 2014. If Apple maintains their patterns by next September the newest iPhone generation will hit the market. Yet to be seen is the exact specs or hinted blue-prints. Right now based on the surface level review of unnamed sources, the design is speculated to have a curved screen advantage with a screen size no larger than that of the Galaxy Note III, which is 5.7-inches.

Apple continually showers their dedicated consumer base with faster running Operating Systems, Mac updates and iPod capabilities. Will the iPhone once again mark its path in the entrenched field of smartphones? So far, Samsung has released gold versions, smart watches and now curved screens before its leading competitor. Perhaps, Apple will surprise millions and unveil a flexible screen that comes in an incredible size. It remains speculations and possible predictions for the curved screens equipped on the iPhone 6. I hate idiots with plate size phones. Do you know how stupid you look with that plate over your head?

so much for all of the attempted banter of apple fanboys regarding the irrelevance of screen size for a superior smartphone experience. then again, we knew this would have to happen. you can only sell toy sized phones to the unaware or ‘average’ users for so long.
