Jennifer Lawrence ‘Catches Fire’ for Wardrobe Malfunctions

Jennifer Lawrence wardrobe malfunctions

Jennifer Lawrence at Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere in Paris

Jennifer Lawrence has received a lot of admonishments about her many wardrobe malfunctions.  While premiering the next installment in the Hunger Games franchise Lawrence has caught a lot of fire for her taste in clothing.  Yet the public continues to love her exuberance and praise her obvious talent.

Lawrence walked the red carpet in Los Angeles on Monday sporting a fresh, new pixie haircut; and wearing what has been named her most revealing outfit.  The actress shocked her fans in a sheer, purple Christian Dior gown; with a black leotard underneath.  The gown received mixed reviews.  It showcased Lawrence’s long legs and fit figure.  But the very revealing look was a new one for Lawrence who is known for shying away from the overly sexed image many young, female stars in Hollywood adopt.  At the movie’s Paris premiere Lawrence was seen in a black dress, which she looked beautiful in but unfortunately it revealed too much side boob.  This reveal was reminiscent of prior incidents of wardrobe malfunctions; it seems that Lawrence has a bad habit of wearing outfits that reveal too much in that area.

Whatever anyone may think about Jennifer Lawrence and her choices in clothing, there is no question of her sheer talent and great personality.  From the beginning of her career, Jennifer Lawrence has claimed to have had no acting lessons.  Yet she had received more accolades for her work than many actors and actresses twice her age.  Rolling Stones called Lawrence, “the most talented young actress in America” in 2012.  In 2010 the actress was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in the 2010 film Winter’s Bone making her the third youngest actress to be nominated for such.  She won the Academy Award in 2012 for best actress for her playing Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Linings Playbook.  Lawrence has also won a Golden Globe, A Screen Actors Guild, and many others.  These awards prove that no matter how much Lawrence may be berated for her many wardrobe malfunctions and unflattering outfit choices she is, in fact, a very good actress.  When Hunger Games was released in 2012, it was a hit.  It grossed the about $600 million, something unseen for an action film with a female lead.  In Hunger Games, Lawrence plays Katniss, a young girl who takes the place of her little sister in game in which players fight to the death.  No one who has seen the film can doubt how seriously Lawrence took the role, and how wholeheartedly she accepted the character.

It is not just Lawrence’s skill that has fans loving her.  The actress is adored for being fresh and down to earth.  She has stolen America’s heart with self deprecating comments.   Young and very serious about her work, Lawrence has made herself the most appealing young actress of this time.  Wardrobe malfunctions or not, there is no denying that Lawrence will be ‘catching fire’ this weekend on the big screen and setting off a blaze in the hearts of her fans, which she has already cultivated.

One Response to Jennifer Lawrence ‘Catches Fire’ for Wardrobe Malfunctions

As paid celebrity wearer of Dior clothing, Lawrence has minimal choice over what she wears on these junkets. She’s being paid to model the clothing. Folks who dislike. It are free not to buy any, and even to take issue with Maison Dior directly. The purple see-through number she wore at Los Angeles was as appropriate to both LA and Paris, as it would have been to the Capital of fictional Panem…much fluff and expense, for too little substance to keep the wearer warm. I’m pleased that she’s getting paid, because she shares a lot and invests much more. Wednesday last, she rented a cinema in her native Louisville, showed a charity preview of Catching Fire, fed everyone who came, and with the price we paid for admission, we raised $40,000 for the Saint Mary’s Center, to equip their new building to train victims of brain disease to deal with cognitive disability. If.Jen Lawrence can accomplish such feats, simply by wearing dumb, overpriced clothing and getting paid by the designer to show it, then using the fees she earns to engage in charity work, I wouldn’t complain if she wore a horse blanket
