Kanye West Needs Help

Kanye West debuted his new video Bound 2 today featuring his fiance Kim Kardashian, and already people are bashing the video. Kanye West needs help. This is one of many missteps the Grammy-winning rapper has hit over the past year, from his grandiose proposal to his assaulting a photographer. Kanye West does not seem like the talented person he was when he came onto the rap scene in 2002. It seems like ever since his mother died, he has been spiraling down.

Kanye West started out as a writer and producer for other acts such as Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and Ludacris. He broke out with his song Through the Wire, that he wrote while having his jaw wired shut. That led him to record his first album The College Dropout, and it became a huge success for him, earning him a Grammy award. During that time, his mother, Donda West, was always there congratulating him and supporting him. Sure, he was a little arrogant, but people brushed it off as being confident. It wasn’t until her untimely death from complications of plastic surgery in 2007 that sent the rapper down an emotional path.

The first major clue to how Kanye West was handling her death was in 2009,when he took the mic from Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards, and declared that Beyonce should have won because she had the best video of all time. The crowd booed, Swift was visibly upset, and West was practically shunned by the music industry.

But the past year has seen him take his aggression to another level. Since becoming involved with Kim Kardashian, West has been lashing out at photographers who take his picture. In July, he was questioned for assaulting a photographer, although the charges were later dropped. He has also released a new album, Yeezus, that did not live up to critics and fans expectations.

Earlier in November, he went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to end his feud with the comedian. He didn’t like the fact the Kimmel made a skit about his recent interview, and lashed out on Twitter. When he appeared on the show, it was for the whole hour, and Kanye West rambled on about fashion, music, and that Kim Kardashian should have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It caused Kimmel to apologize to his musical guests because they could not perform that night.

He is also causing controversy by selling a t-shirt emblazoned with the Confederate flag on it on his current tour, claiming that he has taken the flag and made it his. This has angered a lot of black civil rights groups, even calling for a boycott of his tour.

What happened to the Kanye West that was known as being brilliant genius? Has the fame gone to his head? Or does he have some deep-rooted issues that he has yet to resolve? Either way, Kanye West needs help, and needs to turn things around before they get worse.

“Kanye just released the new album Yeezus that did not live up to critic or fan expectation.”

So…almost universal acclaim, multiple best album of the year placings and going platinum is below expectation. Yip, that’d be Kanye. The most talented man in rap.

He deserves the no talent ho he reckons he’s going to marry…those two low life’s deserve each other…I wonder if kim realises she will be saddled to that creep for life…Oh, yeah, I forgot, she hasn’t got enough brain cells to think that far ahead, and anyway, it will all end after 72 days

Reads like a middle school book report. Amazed that you are considered a writer. Absolutely no insight. Does ending with a question make this comment better?

It’s pretty clear after reading this article that you know absolutely nothing about Kanye West and are merely using the name of a popular celebrity to get Google hits.

Also indicative of your writing about something you know nothing about – the numerous errors you have had to change since publishing this article. Don’t worry, various websites have already catalogued your failure to self edit prior to posting.
