Sylvia Browne, World Famous Psychic Dead

World famous psychic Sylvia Browne, who was a ground-breaker for mediums in the paranormal world, has passed away, it is stating on her website. She frequently appeared on television and radio and had also penned over dozens of top-selling books. The site does not give a cause of death but reads that she died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California.

Brown was 77 years of age.

Sylvia Browne was a firm believer in both reincarnation and also God. She led nearly thousands of hypnotic regressions and trance sessions in order to aid individuals all over the world, it stated in her official biography. She described that she was able to both look into the future and also communicate with the dead.

She said that she did not know how she did them but that she had been doing both things all her life.

She had a large fan base. It extended far beyond those she gave help to. Some people got to befriend her because of her writings; others met her through the media. She appeared on shows such as Unsolved Mysteries and also The Montel Williams Show. On the latter, she became a weekly guest for almost 20 years.

Williams himself spoke of Browne, and stated he had lost a friend in a posting on her website. However, he added that she would remain a part of him.

Sylvia Browne was born in Kansas City, Missouri during the Great Depression. She first became aware of her psychic talents when she was only age 3, it reads in her biography. She said that it was extremely scary for her as a child when she realized she could tell when someone was going to die.

She moved to California in 1964 and moved from just giving readings to people in private to doing so in public. She felt this would help people gain control of their lives and begin to live more happily. She wanted them to understand life and to find God in their unique way.

Sylvia Brown established The Nirvana Foundation for Psychic Research back in 1974, and then published over 50 books. Her biography stated that 22 of those books ended up on the New York Times Best Sellers list.

Browne also taught ministers to help spread her teaching through the Society of Novus Spiritus association. She also produced The Sylvia Browne Hypnosis Training Center in order to teach her hypnosis techniques to other individuals.

Although she was adored by many in the psychic community, Browne also had critics. They happened to include those that were angry about of her comments, on a 2004 episode of The Montel Williams Show, where she said that then-missing Amanda Berry was dead. She even told Berry’s mother she would only see her daughter “in heaven, on the other side.”

Berry was one of the young women that were rescued, along with her daughter, and other captives Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, this past May in the Cleveland, Ohio home of Ariel Castro. They all had been enslaved for almost a decade. Browne consequently put a statement up on her website that read, “If ever there was a time to be grateful and relieved for being mistaken, this is that time. Only God is right all the time.”

Sylvia Browne will be missed by many people.

Ms Savastio: Seems I just read a similar comment by you in another article of Sylvia Browne’s demise which was very disdainful of her ability and those of other TV psychics. Please clarify? I always liked her conviction & her belief that death is not an ending! RIP Sylvia. Wish I had had a chance to meet you. Maybe next time.

I remember a Montel Williams show where she had told a mother her child who was missing when she took a dog for a walk, was deceased ( the mother rightly so was angry) Then she said where they would find the body . When the kidnapping was solved she had been right, even in the area where the body was found !!!! I may not have believed EVERYTHING she said but I became a believer on that case .
