Family Guy Dog Brian Makes a Comeback, but Will It Be Realistic Enough

Family Guy Dog Brian Makes a Comeback
Family Guy dog Brian is set to make a comeback, but will it be realistic?  On December 15, just in time for the holidays, our dear Family Guy dog, Brian, will surprise his fans afresh.  How Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane  plans to bring Brian back  is still a mystery of course, although a particular suggestion already has surfaced.

Reports are saying that in the upcoming Family Guy episode “Christmas Guy,” Stewie will be devising a “master” plan to get the only wish he has for Christmas; let us hope that Stewie’s plan is realistic enough to keep Family Guy fans coming back for more. As it is, 128,000 fan-based signatures petitioned Family Guy executives to bring Brian back to the show. Fans everywhere had genuinely suffered the loss of Family Guy dog Brian, insisting that his character is the one that made the show the success that it was. Why MacFarlane had killed Brian off the show was a mystery also, at least until now.

Last month, Family Guy executive producer Steve Callaghan spoke to E! Online and explained that the plan to kill off Brian had been an idea that surfaced among the writers and ignited excitement. He said that they had wanted to “shake things up” and believed that would be a fun way to do it. Callaghan said that they felt excited by how the change would affect the characters and the family dynamics.

Apparently, Callaghan spoke only for himself and the writers in this case, because the fans most certainly did not take the passing of Family Guy dog Brian well at all. But now the fans will have their holiday wish come true, just like Stewie will.

The question now is when Family Guy dog Brian makes a comeback, will it be realistic enough? Maybe the all-new episode will be that Brian’s death was all a “bad dream” for Stewie; a long nightmare that included the new pooch, “Vinny.” This could be just one possible way MacFarlane and the show writers might resurrect Brian.

If not that plot, then perhaps Stewie secretly and deeply suffers the loss of “man’s best friend” Brian so intensely that, for Christmas, Brian appears as a gentle apparition with wings on his back; he comforts Stewie and tells him how lovely Doggie Heaven is, showing Stewie that he is OK after all.

Moreover, maybe Brian would include a special adventure with Vinny to show Stewie and the clan of Family Guy that loving and accepting a replacement dog can be lots of fun.

Those are just some of the questions and suggestions buzzing about now regarding the comeback of Brian.

Family Guy Dog Brian Set to Make a Comeback, But Will It Be Realistic EnoughNevertheless, Brian’s death recently seemed iron-clad; between his injuries from the speeding car, his passing, and then the burial, Brian’s death rang out as something of a permanent situation.

This now poses a tremendous challenge for the Family Guy  writers to retract those events and literally bring Brian back to Family Guy, while maintaining the true-to-life appeal that the show already bears. That is why the idea of Stewie having a long, bad dream that Brian had died would perhaps make the most sense.

So, let’s wait and see the upcoming “Christmas Guy” episode.  Family Guy dog Brian makes a comeback, but it will be up to the fans if the comeback will be realistic enough to keep their interest much further.

I would love to see them do a Doctor Who reference in this one. Base it on the Dr Who Episode “Father’s Day” rose goes back in time and saves her father from, Ironically, being hit by a car. but, doing this creates a time paradox and gargoyle like creatures start destroying everything in order to repair the paradox. The Doctor gets killed by one of the gargoyles. In the end, her father realizes he must die to save everyone. Stewie could fix his time machine and save brian and end up creating a disasterous time paradox. So, they could bring back brian and (instead of the doctor being eaten and killed tryinmg to save everyone) meg could be killed off sacrificing herself to save everyone… and then Brian, being the logical one in the series realizes he must die in order to save everyone after Meg’s death saves nothing… and he jumps in front of the car… thus bringing back brian, killing meg… then killing brian again and meg still being alive. it would be hilarious… the fall out from the fans, that is. Also, I’d gain respect for the show.

Bring back brian from hell, make peter not so stupid, have meg develope into a full blown hottie, make louise sluttier, and chris more physically fit and attractive to really drive the old pervert nuts, leave stewie just the way he is

I wonder how many people actually watched the full episode when Brian died. The story give an easy way for Brian to come back to live without Stewie making a new time machine (the show already nixed out that opportunity). Pay attention, this is very simple solution. In the episode that killed Brian off, Stewie stated (when breaking the time machine), that he had used the time machine a week prior to go into the future (Christmas time), so he wouldn’t have to wait for the new Christmas toys. All he has to do is wait for that time, go to the store (that he was shown going too) and tell past Stewie what happened. Problem solved! Brian Survives! The family never got vinny
