‘Fast & Furious 7’ Adds on to Legendary 2015 Schedule

Fast and Furious 7 in 2015After the death of actor Paul Walker there was speculation that the Fast & Furious franchise would not be able to go on and complete its latest installment. Rumors ran high concerning how the producers would use Walker’s previously shot footage and who might play him. Not all of those questions have been answered, but one big question has been laid to rest. Fast & Furious 7 will be released in 2015 and it will only to add to what is already shaping up to look like a legendary 2015 schedule for blockbuster movies.

Fast & Furious 7 was originally scheduled to be released on July 11, 2014. Now the film has been confirmed to have a new release date on April 10, 2015.

Walker’s long time co-star in the movies, Vin Diesel wrote on his facebook page on Sunday December 22 that the next installment of the series does have a new release date. Since that time Universal Pictures has confirmed the date as being correct to The Hollywood Reporter.

It has also been confirmed that Paul Walker will be in the film in some capacity, but there is no confirmation concerning how his character, or footage of the recently deceased actor, will be used.

This piece of news is certainly the cause of a deep sigh of release for many fans of the franchise. Many fans were scarred they would never see a new Fast & Furious movie when Universal Pictures closed production on the film in the wake of Walker’s death.

Fast & Furious’ new release day is intriguing for more reasons than mere confirmation of the films existence. Fast & Furious 7 will add on to a legendary schedule of summer blockbusters to be released in 2015. It could turn into one of the most electrifying summers in the history of blockbuster movies.

Fast & Furious 7 will be released in April and in the short weeks and months that follow movie fans will have ample choices for blockbusters of its kind. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released on the first of May in that year as Joss Whedon returns to make a sequel of the hit comic book based film starring Scarlett Johansson and Chris Hemsworth.

Also on track for release that summer are films like the surprising Terminator 5, and the logical extension of previous blockbusters Batman Vs. Superman. If you are tired of all these sequels than turn away now because it is only going to continue, Jurassic World will also be released that summer.

If movie fans can make it through that kind of headline grabbing list alive, then they will have a few months to recuperate before the holiday seasons role around and they are greeted by what could be the biggest hit of them all. The seventh installment of the Star Wars saga will be released around the holidays in the year 2015.

On facebook Vin Diesel also commented on the sense of pride he felt when he and Walker completed the last scene they shared before filming was halted due to Walker’s death. Paul Walker’s tragic death has made Fast & Furious 7 the most highly anticipated movie in production at the moment. The news that Fast 7 has a new release date that adds to an already legendary 2015 schedule will only grow the hype.
