J.K. Rowling takes Harry Potter one stage further than Hogwarts, as she has decided to bring it to London’s West End theater. The play is to display Harry’s untold story, about his days before wizardry, as an orphan and outcast.

Although Rowling is not going to be the one writing the script, she will have sufficient input as co-producer. The writer of the play is yet to be chosen. However, whoever is chosen undoubtedly has a lot to live up to after the magnitude of success that the Potter films reached.

The series of seven fantasy films sparked a universal hysteria, and is one of the most highly ranked films worldwide. It smashed box office and made millionaires of its stars.

Harry Potter remains to be one of the highest grossing franchises ever, and the book series has sold over 450 million copies, making it the best-selling book series in history. The series has also been translated into 67 languages, and the last 4 books set records for the fastest-selling books in history.

The play is predicted to be equally as popular, with fans eager to get their next Potter fix. Over the last decade, the story has mesmerized audiences through the trials and tribulations during Hogwarts. Thousands have grown up with Harry and the gang, and fans remain addicted even after the end. As J.K Rowling takes Harry Potter one stage further than Hogwarts, millions can not wait to buy their tickets for the play.

J.K RowlingAlthough Rowling received many stage pitches containing the magical world of Hogwarts, she preferred to show a side that had never been done before. This way, a new adaptation can be made to the story in order to deliver the “intimacy, sensitivity and intensity” the story deserves.

J. K Rowling was the first author to become a billionaire, and Harry Potter changed every industry it touched. She wrote her first novel Rabbit at the age of six, drawing attention to her literary ambitions. She was jobless and a lone parent before her success, and the star risked everything for her novel. Reporters have stated they do not think a phenomena like this will ever happen again. She ignited an era where children were reading by evolving the world of fantasy, where people became hooked with a world of wizards and witches.

Undoubtedly, Rowling’s blood and sweat will also be going into the play in order to portray Harry’s early story in the way it deserves. The play is set to be on the stage by 2015, and the expectations are extremely high. The news has confirmed that thousands remain obsessed with the story, and the ending of the book and film sequels has not ceased interests and fascinations.

As J.K. Rowling takes Harry Potter  one stage further than Hogwarts, excitement has reached great heights. Fans can barely wait two years for the new face of Potter and to see his childhood story before wizardry. Rowling has over two million followers on twitter alone, and the play is sure to be a sell-out. Harry Potter is definitely one of the most universally loved stories.
