Police have officially confirmed that the body found in a church cemetery is that of missing 17-year-old Jayden Parkinson.
Parkinson was seen on December 3 at Didcot railway station, but never returned home. During an extensive search, police were led to the churchyard of Great Western Cemetery All Saints’ Church, where they had to exhume a grave.
There is currently no known cause of death, but Parkinson’s ex-boyfriend, Ben Blakeley, has been arrested for murder. He appeared in court at the start of the week. It could take six weeks for confirmation on her cause of death. A 17-year-old boy, who has not been named, also appeared in court this week for perverting the course of justice, and is accused of disposing evidence and the body.
It has taken 100 officers to find the body of missing Parkinson in the church cemetery.
