Indiana Reports 11 Deaths Related to the Flu

Indiana

The Indiana State Department of Health reports that 11 flu-related deaths have occurred thus far. St. Joseph County has reported six deaths, while no more than one death has been reported for other Indiana counties. IU Health made an announcement on Thursday that it will limit visitors to its hospital as a protective measure against the flu.

Indiana’s health officials are urging everyone to please get a flu shot. For the 2013-2014 flu season, the H1N1 strand is the predominant strand that is responsible for a number of deaths in the U.S.
