Brooke Burke-Charvet ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Slapped in the Face?

Brooke Burke Charvet
Brooke Burke-Charvet was possibly disrespected in the worst way by the hit television show Dancing With the Stars. She had been a co-host on the show for eight consecutive seasons. Known for her smile and lively personality, Brooke’s termination came as a huge shock to many of the show’s fans. There reportedly had been talks of giving the successful running show a make-over, possibly bringing in new judges. Judging from fans taking to social media with urgency, it was not expected that Brooke was a possible candidate for the chopping block. She allegedly found out she was let go from her job the same time the world found out. Many would consider this to be a huge slap in the face from the network.

Much of America knows what it feels like to be fired. Anger, sadness, fear, and/or utter shock are words used by most to describe the experience. To be a public figure in the limelight with the press singing the praises of a successful show for many years, suddenly being terminated raises so many questions. Executive producer of Dancing With the Stars Conrad Green spoke very highly of Brooke Burke-Charvet to Us Weekly and thanked her for contribution to the show. If she was so wonderful, many fans still want answers as to why she was terminated.

Before Brooke became a co-host to the hit show Dancing With the Stars, she was a contestant with dance partner Derek Hough back in 2008 and took home the winning trophy. Much of America tuned in and fell in love with Brooke’s energy just as much as her dancing. Many would say she rightfully earned the position of co-host and most would say she deserves to still hold the spot. USA Today reported Brooke took to Twitter the moment her name wasn’t read by Tom Bergeron as a returning cast to the show stating it was a weird day. She went on to tweet graciously that she enjoyed her time on the show, but many of the fans could read between the lines. Brooke possibly felt a slap in the face by the way she was terminated.

Brooke Burke-Charvet, 42, has met with some challenges over the past two years. In 2012 she was reportedly diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She underwent throat surgery to remove a tumor that turned out to be benign. Since then she has been promoting health and fitness to women and wrote a book titled The Naked Mom. Brooke possibly thought her days were getting brighter after the cancer scare. NY Daily News reported Dancing With the Stars started to experience spiraling ratings. The looming questions many fans want answered are why was Brooke chosen to be terminated and why would a network deliver bad news to the world first? No matter how beautiful, talented, and committed an actress is, when Hollywood says it’s time to go, no explanation is needed. Allegedly there wasn’t a conversation, goodbye cake, or even a gold watch to say thank you. Whatever transpired between Brooke and the network, the public may never know. However one thing is for sure, in Hollywood, to avoid a slap in the face actors should live by the saying, “Here today and gone…today.”

Shockingly after hearing the same commentaries time and time again towards multiple contestants such as “how does that make you feel to get a 2″, I’d say it was about time to cut her loose. Surely, she needed cue cards because as for the rest of her Q+A’s, there was too much left to be desired. And yes, we know you won back when, but no one likes their noses stuck in it when they didn’t. Frankly, I believe she got more seasons than deserved when the wardrobe started to repeat. And oh, what was with the lip thing? So long, farewell, and finally it’s a done deal. Too bad Samantha Harris can’t be cajoled to come back.

Brooke was pretty boring. Especially following Tom cause he is so lively. I had always preferred Samantha. Change is good. They could of told her in person though but them again she should have figured it out if there was no conversation on the contract.

Did they fire the band? I haven’t heard about that. Personally I liked Brooke and will miss her.
