The third time seems to be the charm for Kim Kardashian. Kanye West and the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star might be skipping out on the extravagant ceremony plans and instead moving forward with a smaller wedding. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM show, Kardashian said she wanted to focus on creating a smaller and more intimate setting than what people are imagining and thinking.
Kardashian is known for being unlucky in the love department. Before becoming engaged to the Bound singer, Kardashian married Kris Humphries on live, national television during a two-part special broadcasted on E! in early Oct. 2011. The marriage lasted a total of 72 days. The couple went their separate ways and came to a divorce agreement last April. Several media outlets claimed the whole relationship was a publicity stunt.
Kardashian’s first marriage was to music producer Damon Thomas. The television personality was 20-years old at the time, while Thomas was 30. The relationship ended in 2003 when Thomas filed for divorce and Kardashian accused him of abuse. Unlike her first marriage, in which she eloped, and her over-the-top wedding to Kris Humphries, Kardashian confirmed that her third wedding will be held in Paris and will be smaller and quieter than the last.
Kardashian and West were spotted together months after her breakup with Humphries. Kanye West was a longtime friend of the Kardashian clan before a relationship developed between the two lovebirds. The couple dated for nine months before confirming that they were expecting a child together. Their daughter, North West, was born June 15, 2013. The rapper proposed to his fiance at the AT&T Park in San Francisco during Kardashian’s 33rd birthday. He used a projection screen to spell out the message, “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!”
In regards to having more children, the new mom said having additional kids is in the cards, but she does not want as many as Kris Jenner. “I don’t think I could do more than three, tops” she said.
Baby North is now 8-months-old and the parents of the happy bundle of joy say she will have a special part to play in the wedding. “She’s the sweetest, the calmest and all she does is laugh,” Kardashian said about her daughter. “She’ll laugh at anything. I’ll put my toe right near her and she’ll crack up.”
Before deciding to hold a private, small wedding, Kardashian and West planned to have an extravagant wedding that even included fighter jets. The happy couple are expected to exchange wedding vows this summer. An actual ceremony and reception date has not been disclosed to the public. Last week, the media caught the couple looking at wedding venues. Not only were West and Kardashian using the time away for planning purposes, but as a quick couples’ vacation. Since the birth of North West, the parents have been living under Kris Jenner’s roof. “[Kanye] was like, ‘Babe, can we please just have three days to ourselves without any family members? It’s too much traveling for [North]. Please I just want alone time with us,’” she said.
The small wedding in the works for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will unlikely be televised for public viewing. Keeping Up with the Kardashians is currently airing on E! at 9 p.m. Sunday nights.
