California McDonald’s Sued Because They Gave Man Only One Napkin

California McDonald's Sued Because They Gave Man Only One Napkin

A California McDonald’s has been slammed with a lawsuit that is supersized all because Webster Lucas reportedly filed a suit against the fast food chain after he stated that the staff working behind the counter only gave him one napkin and he has endured emotional distress because of it. He now wants $1.5 million from the restaurant.

Lucas declares that he ordered a Quarter Pounder Deluxe at McDonald’s restaurant located in Pacoima, California back on Jan. 29 of this year. When he opened up the paper bag, he discovered there was just one napkin inside. He stated that when he returned to the front counter to ask for some more, the manager on duty refused his request.

Lucas said after he asked for extra napkins, he was allegedly treated very rudely by one of the managers. That person supposedly insisted that Lucas had already gotten more than just one. Lucas’ lawsuit explained that Lucas then responded with the statement of he should have went to eat at Jack-in-the-Box because he did not come to McDonald’s to argue over napkins. He stated that he only went there because he wanted to get something to eat.

Lucas then explained that the incident got even uglier when allegedly the altercation took a racist turn after the Mexican-American manager grumbled something about “you people” under his breath. This was something that Lucas took as some sort of racist reference to him being African-American.

He explained that he consequently sent an email to the general manager of that McDonald’s to file a complaint. In the email, Lucas stated that the manager, whom he called ‘Angel”, had mumbled something which sounded like “you people” to Lucas. He also stated that Angel was unreasonable and unfriendly again in a phone call that Lucas made to the restaurant in a second attempt to allegedly make some sort of peace. He informed the main manager that he could not work due to the intentional cause of emotional distress which was caused by “Angel”. Lucas then stated that the McDonald’s manager “played around’ when he tried to get the correct spelling of his last name. He added that he still did not have it.

He stated that he was unable to even return to work because of the excessive mental anguish due to the event. He stated that they offered him free hamburgers as some sort of apology and he was insulted because of it. So now he has sued the company because of the event and how he has allegedly suffered since that time.

The California McDonald’s that has been slammed with a lawsuit did not have any comment for the public. Webster Lucas, however, states he has endured emotional distress because of what he went through and now wants $1.5 million from the restaurant.

I would love to know how old this guy supposedly is if the WORST RACIAL SLUR he ever heard that it caused so much mental distress that he had to sue was “You people.”

Apparently this guy never heard about the self serve portion of McDonalds where you get YOUR OWN NAPKINS, YOUR OWN KETCHUP, and SODA.

“he has endured emotional distress”? For someone saying “you people” to him? Let me at him. I give him more emotional distress than he’ll know how to handle, and never make 1 racial slur.

Typical to sue a large corporation. If he has emotional distress over a napkin and I can’t imagine how he has no emotional stress at work and is not on disability. How many bogus lawsuits has he filed before

Um… If I had known you could sue over the lack of napkins at a fast food restaurant, I’d be set for life!
