The exciting new 2014 cast of Dancing with the Stars has been revealed this morning on Good Morning America. The competition will surely be fierce with the 12 new celebrities to hit the dance floor. People can expect to see two Olympic Gold Medalists, a swimming legend, a teen pop idol, a game show host and even a former Real Housewives of Atlanta star.
Each week, contestants will attempt to master expert choreography thrown at them in teams. Most of them are completely out their comfort zones, hitting the dance floor for the very first time. Each star will challenge themselves to deliver their best performances by undergoing hours of exhausting rehearsals. It is always a fight till the end, the stars test their abilities at strength, grace, agility and attention to detail and for the women, doing all this in heels is a great feat.
Halfway through the season, viewers can be expected to take part, voting for which team mates will switch with who, in a new twist in the show. This is the first time that the cast has ever had to switch partners in competition before. One can only imagine how the contestants will deal with the sudden change, once they have already built up a strong connection with their first time dancing partners.
In the end, only one celebrity will be crowned champion. The point of the reality show is to have fun performing and to put on a grand act yet only one will win the most sought-after Mirror Ball Trophy.
Dancing with the Stars is set to Premiere Monday, March 17 at 8 p.m 2014 with host and Emmy-Award Winner Tom Bergeron and his newly revealed co-host Erin Andrews. Andrews knows the competition all too well, making it to the finals on the 10th season of the hit show.
