Flappy Bird Creator Considering Bringing Back Game

Dong Nguyen, who is the creator of Flappy Bird, has released to the public he is considering bringing back the game after he decided to yank the smartphone game from both iOS Apps and Google Play Stores in February. When asked about an official Flappy Bird return, Nguyen stated that he was seriously thinking about it but beyond that, he does not reflect too much on the game’s past.. Nguyen, age 28, and who lives in Vietnam, continues to make thousands of dollars from the addicting hit and also from his other games, Super Ball Juggling and Shuriken Block. There are various types of clones of Flappy Bird at the present time. Three knockoffs are even listed in the top 10 of free smartphone games.

Nguyen stated that he cannot return to life the way it was before he produced Flappy Bird but he was in a good place now. Even though he states he has finally discovered some peace from a rage of abuse from individuals that were online, he reaffirmed that the decision to remove Flappy Bird from the limelight was for his own well-being as well as some players of the game.

He explained that he had been told stories of people who were homeless, parents who no longer communicated with offspring and even kids who had destroyed their phone because of the game. He does not know if the tales were true but he did not want to continue such a risk. If they were, he wanted people to step back and take a break away from Flappy Bird.

He does not know why it became such a hit, but it took a while for that to happen. He had had the game out for over six months when it was first mentioned by someone on Twitter. After that, it ended up on the top of the gaming charts. Nguyen explained his game in simple terms that the Flappy Bird will be flying along at a peaceful rate and then suddenly you die. The built in humor of such a design was supposed to be on purpose, but it ended up producing a craving to continue playing the game.

It has been reported back in February that Nguyen still was living with both his parents in a modest house. However, now due to the wealth he has, he has been considering buying a condo and some sort of automobile to drive. He has finally gotten his first passport and the monetary ability to be able to quit his day job. So now, the Flappy Bird creator has returned to making games.

When asked about an official Flappy Bird return, Nguyen stated that he was seriously thinking about it but beyond that, he does not reflect too much on the game’s past. He stated that he receives many offers from individuals wanting to purchase the rights to the game from him but he refuses to do that. He added that other game makers can clone the Flappy Bird app very easily due to its simplicity but no one will ever be able to make another Flappy Bird. It is a one of a kind original.
