Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin just released a joint statement that they are separating. They announced the separation on Paltrow’s website, GOOP, in a joint statement. The couple had married in 2003 and have two children, Apple, who is nine years old, and Moses, who is seven. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin today said it was with deep sadness that they must announce they are separating after 11 years of marriage.
The joint letter that went out said that they have been working at the relationship for well over a year, but the time apart and the time together was too disparate for them to make it work. They say in the joint letter that they sill love one another and they will always be each other’s family, but it is time for them go their separate ways. They retain that they are parents first and foremost and that their main responsibilities will always be to their kids. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, after spending the past 11 years together, in the end, could not find ways to stay together and have decided to separate, calling it quits.
They signed the letter together to their fans and those around the world as simply, with love. Below that was a picture of the two, sitting together in the grass, happy and showing their better days together. Unfortunately, those days are over for Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin and after their 11 year marriage, they’ve decided to separate.
