After going through a rough patch in their relationship, actress Kate Hudson and fiance Matthew Bellamy have reunited. The lovebirds were spotted in Los Angeles on Friday. The pair seemed to be getting along, and appeared to be happy in each other’s presence. The couple got engaged in 2011, and have a son, Bingham, together.

Lately, Kate Hudson has been seen without her engagement ring. She showed up without her fiance at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, where she was promoting her new film, Wish I Was Here. The actress also appeared without her partner at the Bulgari’s Decades of Glamour bash at the Soho House in Los Angeles.

Before separating, the couple spent Christmas in the U.K. with Bellamy’s family. Hudson, along with son, Bingham, also joined Bellamy in Australia where his band, Muse, played. In January, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan asked Hudson about her future wedding plans. The Good People actress contributed the delay to her hectic work schedule. She also mentioned she was going to take her time planning her next wedding – especially since her parents Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell never walked down the aisle themselves. “…I’m so busy, we’ve been so busy, and it’s been great,” she said.

Since Kate Hudson and her fiance’s reunion, the couple have been trying to mend their struggling relationship. Even though the duo seem to be going through hard times, they are still living together. A source close to the pair says “Kate is not giving up.”

The couple met at the 2010 Coachella Music Festival. They got engaged a year later in April, and welcomed their child in July. “Matthew was polite and immediately protective,” Hudson said. “Which for somebody like me who’s all over the place  – one minute I’m over here and the next I’m over there – is important.”

Hudson was in a previous relationship with frontman of The Black Crowes, Chris Robinson. The actress moved in just days after meeting the rocker. They married Dec. 31, 2000. Their son, Ryder Russell Robinson was born in January 2004. However, the wedded bliss did not last long, the couple announced their separation in 2006. Their divorce was finalized Oct. 22, 2007.

The Bride Wars actress and her fiance began rethinking their engagement sometime in February. Since then, the couple have not been photographed together at any events. “They realized there were in different places in their lives,” a source close to them said. “They grew apart. It’s not good right now. They’re taking time apart to try to make things work.”

Hudson is set to appear in the upcoming American comedy drama, Wish I Was Here. The film is directed by Zach Braff. Other stars to look out for in this film include Jim Parsons, Ashley Greene and  Joey King. The movie premieres July 18, 2014.

The reunion between Kate Hudson and her fiance will prove to be beneficial in the long run. The couple have been engaged for nearly three years. A source mentioned how much love the Muse rocker has for his son and Kate. “So hopefully they can work through it,” the insider said.
