The seemingly inseparable duo James Franco and Seth Rogen have now released yet another parody as they mocked the Vogue wedding cover photo featuring Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. The two friends and sometimes labeled “creative twins” are now by some also referred to as a bromantic equivalent to the star couple, whom some refer to as Kimye. As most people who’ve been following the two dynamic duos might know, this is not the first time Franco and Rogen follow the couple’s footsteps as they also mocked their music video effort last year.
Reflecting back to Franco and Rogen’s Bound 2 music video remake, whom they titled Bound 3, the input seemed to be well appreciated by the star couple, as Kardashian tweeted back to Rogen that West himself loved it and “laughed so hard.” Kanye West laughing hard might be an image that many might find hard to digest as he’s perhaps more often known for his big statements and fiery temper. Further, Rogen admitted that several of these positions were uncomfortable and difficult to execute stating the whole thing is “harder than it looks,” but his accomplishment earned him the original star’s approval.
Some might ask whether the Vogue wedding cover photo mockery is a more sensitive matter to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, but as of now, there have been no tweets back from them on the topic, and as this is being written over 16 hours have passed since the photoshopped picture was tweeted by both James Franco and Seth Rogen, which on a weekend might not be a long time in the entertainment industry. Other people in the entertainment industry have also shared their opinions on Kimye’s Vogue cover, such as Sarah Michelle Gellar, who tweeted that she was going to cancel her Vogue subscription.
Whether the repeated spoofs should be labeled fan art or celebrity satire might also be up for debate as entertainment enthusiasts dive deeper into the whole thing. Although the lives of Kardashian and West haven’t exactly been considered private, the pair is reported to have demanded that all the guests of their upcoming wedding sign a confidentiality agreement in order to prevent their big day details to become a source of media attention, something that might leave the parody fans wondering whether a conjoined effort of celebrity comedians reenacting the entire ceremony might ever become a reality.
According to recent reports, the Kimye wedding will be taking place on May 24, and some might be curious to know whether Rogen and Franco, who’s now on Broadway in a production of Of Mice and Men, are invited to attend and witness the other dynamic duo, Kardashian and West, say “I do”, in the ceremony said to be taking place in France. Perhaps, it might also be about time to determine whether Jath, Seames or something else would be an appropriate term for the bromantic duo.
Since they met on the set of Freaks and Geeks 15 years ago, friends James Franco and Seth Rogen have often crossed path in their artistic endeavors, as have Kim Kardashian and Kanye West throughout their relationship, so some might suggest that there is perhaps a tremendous amount of love, passion and creative unity behind both the original wedding photo Vogue cover as well as the mock version.
