Everyone is weighing in on Vogue’s April issue with the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple on the cover. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been getting a lot of negative buzz and must be quoting Sweet Brown and saying, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” And who does? With Twitter going crazy with haters, one has to stand back and wonder if social media is revealing the truth about the dark side of society.
It seems so unbelievable how so many tweets and comments have been posted spewing hate for Vogue, hate for editor Anna Wintour and hate for Kim Kardashian. That seems to be a lot of hate going around. With a beautiful thing such as the internet and social media it is somewhat alarming how society is using it to promote hate rather than kindness.
When celebrities get on the bandwagon of haters it elevates the whole mess to a new level. Sarah Michelle Gellar tweeted that the actress was canceling her subscription to Vogue. Perhaps the Buffy The Vampire actress is jealous as what celebrity wouldn’t want to land a Vogue cover? The way everyone is carrying on it is as if the public has forgotten who else has graced the famous magazine cover in the past years. Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson and Lady GaGa all made the cover of Vogue as did many other celebrities, actors and musicians. Even Victoria and David Beckham graced the high fashion magazine cover as a couple. Proving that Vogue has been steering away from solely haute-couture models on the cover for years now. So what is the big deal about this April issue featuring Kim Kardashian and Kanye West?
Just reading the incredible amount of nasty responses seems that the main thing that is irking people is that Kim Kardashian is even considered a celebrity. Reality television is here and it looks like it is here to stay. KK, no matter how the reality star ended up there, is a celebrity and a pop-culture icon simply because everyone knows who the Keeping up With The Kardashian’s star is. Not to mention having a clothing line and DASH stores popping up everywhere, KK obviously is doing something right as the reality star laughs all the way to the bank. Sweet Brown says it best, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” and when it comes to these haters, Kim Kardashian must agree.
Whether you are a fan of KK or not, the point is Kim Kardashian has celebrity status and it doesn’t matter that the reality star burst on the scene because of a sex tape. Get over it, it’s done and Kim Kardashian doesn’t seem to be going anywhere to soon. Holding onto hate and jealousy has never gotten anyone a Nobel Peace Prize. Even the hashtag that appears on the Vogue’s April issue is causing controversy all over the internet. Haters are disagreeing with the fact that Kimye are the #WorldsMostTalkedAboutCouple. Tweeting that Jay Z and Beyonce should have that title and some went as far as to tweet a picture of the devil and Jesus claiming that the Biblical duo reign over that hashtag.
The cover of Vogue’s controversial issue looks fantastic and both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West should be proud that the hot couple wished it and it came true. Nobody has time for the haters and nobody frankly cares what jealousies children keep.
