NASA Astronauts Land Safe in Kazakhstan NASA astronauts had the opportunity to land safely in Dzhezkazgan in Kazakhstan, the AP reported via Twitter.

According to the NASA website, NASA Astronaut Mike Hopkins and 38 other members of an expedition crew made the trip back to Earth safely. Oleg Kotov and Sergey Ryazanskiy of the Russian Federal Space Agency were also on board the capsule.

The crew had spent 166 days in orbit on the International Space Station, but at around 11:24 p.m. EDT Monday, the crew made landing on the snowy steppes in Kazakhstan.
