Motley Crue rocker, Nikki Sixx, 55 and model girlfriend Courtney Bingham, 28 have made it official. That’s right, after four long years of dating, the happy couple have tied the knot! The two lovebirds married on Saturday afternoon at Greystone Mansion in Los Angeles, CA in front of a relatively small group of family and friends numbering 130 guests. The theme of their wedding was “gothic rock meets French countryside.”
The blushing bride-to-be welcomed the day by tweeting, “Our beautiful day is here. Today I get married to my best friend and love of my life.”
Meanwhile, Sixx posted pictures on both Twitter and Instagram of the jewelry he intended to wear during the ceremony with the caption, “Laying out the jewelry for our wedding as I eat breakfast with my wonderful kid.”
Later in the day, as time for their nuptials drew near and guests started to arrive at Greystone Mansion, they were greeted by peacocks.
Bingham was a vision in ivory as she walked down the aisle wearing a custom-made gown designed by her aunt’s bridal boutique located in the northern part of California. Wearing a dress made by her aunt on her wedding day was especially sentimental to Bingham, who spoke of trying on dresses in her aunt’s shop when she was a young girl. “I used to drive her nuts when I was younger trying on a million dresses,” she said.
Sixx kept his attire simple choosing to go with a black suit accented with a black bandana tied around his forehead, various pieces of jewelry, and a pair of Converse sneakers.
Sixx and Bingham began dating in 2010 shortly after his breakup, from then girlfriend of two years, tattoo artist, Katherine von Drachenberg, also known as, Kat Von D of L.A. Ink. Following his abrupt breakup with Von D, Sixx wrote on his website, “I want to wish Katherine nothing but the best in life. She has loved and inspired the hell outta me and I know I have done the same for her in these almost two years we ruled the world together.”
In late 2012, after two years of dating, Sixx and Bingham became engaged while in St. Bart, where he popped the question with a huge 6-carat diamond ring. And ever since then, they’ve been making wedding plans and working up to their special day.
This is the first trip down the aisle for model bride Bingham; however, this is marriage number three for Nikki. He was first married to Brandi Brandt for seven years, from 1989 to 1996 and then later married Donna D’Errico. They were married for eleven years, from 1996 to 2007. Nikki has four children, Gunner Nicholas Sixx, Storm Brieanne Sixx, Decker Nilsson Sixx, and Frankie-Jean Sixx.
Following their nuptials, the overjoyed groom tweeted, “Hot damn. I’m a married man,” followed by a picture of an ivory colored bed adorned with pink rose petals in the shape of a heart.
It is unclear at this time if the newlyweds plan to add more children to their family.
