Robert Pattinson Split from Kristen Stewart Best for His Career?

Robert PattinsonIt seems like Robert Pattinson’s split from Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart has been the best thing for his career. Since the vampire movie franchise and the public split, he has received more and more offers for major roles.

One of those roles reportedly includes playing Dennis Stock in the upcoming movie Life, about the legendary James Dean. There are even some who believe that the 27-year-old could get his hands on an Oscar as long as all goes well with the filming. In fact, the Academy Awards released the nomination predictions for 2015, and the Twilight actor is on the list for the Best Supporting Actor possibilities.

Life will cover the life of the late star, who died at a young age from a terrible accident. Pattinson will play the photographer who is on an assignment to photograph Dean. It is already in post-production and scheduled for release next year.

It could be that the 27-year-old actor is simply focusing more on his acting career than before now that he does not have a girlfriend tying him down. He will be able to travel more without worrying about Stewart playing away, and can put more energy into his performances. No distractions will be a benefit for him and the producers of the movies. Pattinson finally splitting from ex-girlfriend Stewart really could have been the best decision he has made for his career.

The movie surrounding Dean’s life is not the only high-profile movie he has been offered. Over the last few months, he has been offered parts in Rover, which will be released in July 2014 and Map to the Stars, which is due sometime later this year. Some of his other upcoming movie roles include The Childhood of a Leader and Queen of the Desert, but the upcoming Dean movie is the only one he has had an Oscar nomination prediction for.

Despite splitting up around a year ago, there are new rumors suggesting that Stewart is pregnant with Pattinson’s baby. The Snow White actress has gained about 15 pounds, and it gives the impression that she is expecting a baby. According to a source close to the star, she is definitely not pregnant. The weight gain has been for a movie role, which is something that many actors and actresses do.

One of the most well-known stars for gaining weight for roles is Rene Zellweger, who gained weight for both of her Bridget Jones movies, and then lost the weight in between and afterwards. Matthew McConaughey also lost weight for his recent role in Dallas Buyers Club, for which he won an Academy Award.

Right now, the focus for both Stewart and Pattinson is on their careers, and that is just where it should be. The two had a turbulent relationship after making big names for themselves on Twilight, and now it is time to show off their acting talents in other places. It seems like the split has been the best decision for Pattinson’s career, who may have just raised his chances of an Oscar with his upcoming part in Life.

Alexandria Ingham….WTHuh are you writing about? Robert Pattinson may look more like James Dean then Dane DeHann, but Rob Pattinson is actually playing photog Dennis Stock in the movie, LIFE. And Pattinson doesn’t even look a bit like Dennis Stock either — Stock was a 28 year old New York City guy, 5′ 8″ very thin, very ethnic looking and had a NY accent. Photos of DeHann as James Dean…he looks like a little kid compared to Dean who was prettier, and also very athletic looking. Filmed in Toronto…supposed to be NYC, Fairmount, IN, and Hollywood….the folks living in Fairmount feel slighted as Dennis Stock and James Dean spent a week taking pictures with family and friends living in the community. Fairmount hasn’t changed in the 57 years since Dean last visited…the family still lives in the same farm house and the town still has one traffic light at Main/Washington Streets. He was offered the parts while he was still with Kristen and also he is playing Dennis Stock in Life – Dane Dehaan is playing James Dean. Please get your facts right. Both Rob and Kristen are doing very well with their careers.

The problem with the public is media! To continuously refer these stars back to Twilight puts them in a pocket and dubs them stereotyped…thus making it even more challenging to get the serious roles of Oscar caliber! BOTH actors are involved with major projects! They took their relationship back under the radar in order to work and for the life of me I dont understand why people jump at their every move!
