Blood Moon: Sign of the Times?

 Moon

The fast approaching lunar event on April 15th 2014 is starting to cause many religious groups to believe we are in the beginning of the end of days before Christ’s return. This event is called the Blood Moon. The Blood Moon effect happens when the sun, earth, and moon are in alignment and when the earth’s shadow passes over the face of the moon, instead of the moon turning dark, it turns a rust color. This blood red color comes from the sun’s rays scattering through the earth’s atmosphere and as this happens, the colors with the shorter wavelength actually bend as they reach the moon casting a reddish glow on the moons face.

There are those who believe this is the beginning of birth pains as described by Jesus in the Bible. Scientists, secular scholars, atheists, and the uniformed will probably deny this and believe this is a natural occurrence and life it will continue to go on. For the moment take into consideration that this is the beginning of the End Times. What else happen? Nothing? Hardly! Floods, famines, earthquakes, wars, and nations rising against other nations have been increasing in measure. These were prophecised by Christ and have been coming into fulfillment, but not in its completion as more is coming. In recent years someone has risen up and makes a so-called “God told me” revelation that the world will end on such and such a date. And nothing happened.

The Mayas prediction, said the world was coming to an end in 2012. Now that revelation was not “God Inspired,” but here it is almost 2 years later and the world was not destroyed in a cataclysmic explosion. People in other religions have made similar predictions that the world would end on the date they were supposedly told by God to instruct their followers to be ready for, yet those dates have come and gone, and still nothing. To ignore the signs of the times and live life like a ostrich with its head stuck in the sand is not practical, but counter-productive. The signs need not bring overwhelming panic, or a sense of dread. These are signs and signs point the way to a final destination. According to scientists, there will be four more Blood Moons. The next one will occur October 8, 2014 and the following will occur April 8 and September 28, 2015.

Pastor John Hagee, in his book, “Four Blood Moons: Something Is About To Change,” suggests these events could be the fulfillment on biblical prophecy and sights Joel 2:31 to back his theory. The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon to blood before the great and dreadful day of the Lord. The Blood moon should be visible at 10:20pm PST April 14, 2014. Is it ironic or coincidental that this Blood Moon lands on the exact date the RMS Titanic sank 102 years ago while on its maiden voyage? We will never know. If up, grab a beach blanket and a bowl of popcorn. The Blood moon should be a pretty amazing sight to see.

Peter says in Acts 2 that Joel 2 was being fulfilled in his time in the 1st century and that the 1st century was in the last days because of it. Hebrews 1:1-2 affirms that they were in the last days.

So, how can you disagree with scripture and say that WE are in the beginning of the end times???

Blood moons happen all the time. The idea that this is some fulfilled prophecy only goes to show the ignorance and delusions of the religious.

It’s very simple to understand once you look at the whole of scripture instead of a few verses with parts of them being over emphasized.
