Cameron Diaz stars in the upcoming raunchy comedy Sex Tape with How I Met Your Mother actor Jason Segel. The film brings back Diaz with co-star Segel since their 2011 comedy Bad Teacher, where Cameron Diaz played a teacher who lost all care for the profession and ends up falling for Jason Segel’s character to is a physical education coach at the same school her character teaches in. The film was also a rated R style comedy with hilarious foul language and sexual humor. A sequel to the film is currently on its way and it is unknown if Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel will return.
The new Sex Tape comedy will be directed by Jake Kasdan, who also directed Bad Teacher. Segel and Kasdan go way back to Segel’s Freaks And Geeks days where Kasdan also directed a few episodes. The new film is written by Kate Angelo, who last penned the 2010 comedy The Back-Up Plan with Jennifer Lopez. The new film is supported by a cast filled with comedic actors such as Jack Black, Rob Corddry and Ellie Kemper. Cameron Diaz in Sex Tape is still bringing her A game, in Hollywood where anyone over 30 is considered ancient, Diaz is proving that you can be sexually attractive and still have class at any age. The film centers on Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel’s characters who have been married for over a decade, and their marriage is starting to get stale and boring. When their character’s first met, sparks were high and the flames burned high in the intimacy department. With over 10-years of marriage and having two children, they feel they must do something to reignite their spark and flame in the now lacking intimacy department. They decide they will create a sex tape of themselves being as wild and naughty as possible, in every position possible. The laugh out loud issues ensue when that tape is accidentally leaked out to all their friends and family via the web cloud, now they must track down all her their friends phones, laptops and iPads to ensure no one sees their sex tape. When that’s not enough they go as far as trying to take down the cloud network itself.
The Cameron Diaz film Sex Tape is full of outrages gags and situations, from the preview it seems that the chemistry shared between Diaz and Segel is once again bringing out the best of each actors comedic performances. They work well off each other as they are believable both when they are screaming obscenities at one another and also when sharing a tender moment. This new film promises to bring back the Cameron Diaz we all fell in love with in the 1998 film There’s Something About Mary. Besides the crude yet funny sexual humor, the Sex Tape preview promises a film filled with heart and that sends out the message that no matter what stage of a marriage one may be in, it is never too late to reignite the passion once shared.
