Kenyan, Edna Kiplagat khas won the Women’s competition at the London Marathon with a time of 2:20:31. Edna is the 2011 and 2013 IAAF World Champion in Marathon. Edna, 34, has won the London Marathon for the first time. She has beaten fellow countrywoman Florence Kiplagat by a margin of 3 seconds. The odds of Edna winning the race were set before the race at two to one.
Edna follows a long list of Kenyans to win the London Marathon. Fellow Kenyan Priscah Jeptoo won the event in 2013. Endna Kiplagat’s London Marathon win is being widely celebrated in her home country of Kenya.
