Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg Announce Engagement

jenny mccarthyJenny McCarthy announced on The View today that she and boyfriend, Donnie Wahlberg are engaged. Only days after talk was going around that the two were going to split up, it is clearly now all rumors. The two have been dating for less than a year, as they started seeing one another in July of 2013, but it has been enough time for both of them to want to spend the rest of their lives together. McCarthy will continue her hosting duties on The View and Wahlberg will continue his time on Blue Bloods playing a detective as well as playing himself on A&E’s new smash hit, Wahlburgers. The two have not announced if they will take any time off from their shows or when the wedding may be, saying that it will be in about a year. But for now, rumors of the couple’s break-up are just that as the star-crossed lovers, Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have announced their engagement.

Weeks ago stories came out that the two may be splitting up after McCarthy was said to be reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend Jim Carrey. The two started talking every day and it apparently bothered Donnie. They were becoming very close “friends” and Donnie made it clear he was annoyed. It was all a false alarm though when the happy couple posted a photo of themselves laying in bed on Instagram, signifying they are all good shortly after the incident happened.

After the recent events it is clear that it really was just rumors. She is 41-years-old and he is 44-years-old and this is not their first relationships. McCarthy was married to director John Mallory Asher and dated Jim Carrey for five years between 2005 and 2010. Wahlberg has a past with Kim Fey and Aubrey O’Day as well. But those relationships are all in the past now as Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg have announced that the two are completely committed to one another now that their engagement is official.

Before the news was released, and the two were thought to be on the rocks, there were talks that Donnie may be trying to get even with McCarthy. The New Kids on the Block, the boy band “rap” group where Donnie and brother Mark Wahlberg got their start, announced they are doing a reunion tour this summer. It has been 30 years since the group first emerged.

Donnie and the Kids on the Block will be performing concerts for three nights in Las Vegas and then will host parties during the day as well as late night parties after the concerts; Donnie described it as more of a bender than a reunion. This is all after Jenny McCarthy appeared topless on the View during a Girls segment on a recent episode of The View. But all questions about the two are definitely put to rest and everyone is very happy for them, which was apparent by her View co-hosts who went crazy when she announced. McCarthy said that the two got engaged when the they both reaffirmed that they loved one another and then he proposed to her. It is a happy day for Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg as the two have announced their engagement.
