Julia-Louis Dreyfus a Billionaire?

Dreyfus

Is Seinfeld star Julia-Louis Dreyfus a billionaire? Yes, that is billionaire with a capital B, we are not talking about measly little millions here folks. Julia-Louis Dreyfus is an actress best known for her portrayal of the iconic TV character Elaine Benes on the biggest sitcom of all time, Seinfeld. The show was a massive hit and ran on for nine seasons between 1990 – 1998, during which Dreyfus had garnered numerous awards and nominations for her portrayal of Elaine. She is in fact one of the most nominated actresses in the history of the Emmy’s, she has six Golden Globe nominations and one win, and has won six Screen Actors Guild awards. She was also recently inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame.

Julia-Louis Dreyfus started her career on another iconic TV show, Saturday Night Live (SNL). She began the show in 1982 at the young age of 21, which at the time made her the youngest female cast member the show had, she stayed on till 1985. It was while working in SNL that Dreyfus met the man who would later on co-create Seinfeld, Larry David. A relationship that still grows strong today, Dreyfus has guest starred on various episodes of Larry David’s Curb Your EnthusiasmĀ on HBO throughout the years playing a fictional version of herself. Her first film was in the 1986 cult-classic Troll, and in that same year was also in the Woody Allen film Hannah and Her Sisters.

The maybe-billionaire Dreyfus never found much success in films, but a few years down the line she would get the part of her life as Elaine Benes on Seinfeld, from there she became a house hold name along with the other cast members of the show. The show became so big, that people would refer to her as Elaine rather than Julia-Louis Dreyfus, this was considered part of the Seinfeld curse. The curse was that the show was so popular, that the actors could never find work again because everyone would only see them as their characters on the show. Luckily Dreyfus has been able to break such curse, as she has found much success in the past years with her new TV shows. Her show New Adventures of Old Christine lasted five seasons and was critically liked, and she is now starring in the HBO political comedy VEEP which is also doing well.

Julia-Louis Dreyfus a billionaire? Well after going through her career one could see the amount of wealth she has made for herself, but even adding all this up it comes nowhere near the B-word. Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David have each made over 400-million since the show ended as creators, and their combined income would come close if not right at one-billion. Julia-Louis Dreyfus the billionaire? Yes, and even Jerry and Larry’s combined income barely reaches her net worth.

Julia-Louis Dreyfus has a net worth of…..wait for it….three-billion! That is even more than Oprah’s net worth, making Dreyfus one of, if not the wealthiest celebrities of all time. Although none of it has to do with her acting career, Dreyfus happens to be the heir of her fathers fortune. Her father is still alive, so in all fairness the money is not yet hers. Her father is proud that she made her own millions and did not use her family name in order to make them, which is why she is first in line as the heir to his fortune.

So is Julia-Louis Dreyfus a billionaire? The answer is a big fat yes, just not yet. Let’s hope being a big time billionaire doesn’t make the always funny and delightful Dreyfus end her acting career, although she could just buy Hollywood if she wanted, maybe then we could finally get that Seinfeld reunion everyone is waiting for!

Since when does your living parent’s net worth count as your net worth? Answer..it doesn’t. Because even IF he leaves the entire fortune to her, the government takes close to half to it.

I’m sorry but this sounds like a fourth grader wrote it. Hurriedly.
