After a series of robberies in a Pennsylvania town the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) has taken over neighborhood watch. The Klan recognized as one of America’s largest hate groups, have decided it is time to step up and handle the issues in their town. On Monday, the KKK established a neighborhood watch in Fairview Township, Pennsylvania to monitor criminal activity.
According to Frank Ancona, the imperial wizard and president of the Traditionalist American Knights, the task force was instituted so that it could compliment existing police efforts. There have been excessive vehicle break-ins and even a home. It seems the people of the town have called on the assistance of the KKK to do what law enforcement is not.
Ancona said the Ku Klux Klan does not hate people. They are just like any other neighborhood watch program. They are not targeting any specific race and whatever they see they will report to law enforcement. KKK is an organization that looks out for its own race, says Ancona. They believe in the separation of race; God created each species after its own kind and he saw that it was good.
The Ku Klux Klan was once a major force in America. They had a large membership which consisted of nearly four million people, including chiefs of police, mayors and other grandees of segregated regions. This controversial “neighborhood watch” move comes on the heels of the recent killing of three people in Kansas at Jewish community centers by Frazier Glenn Cross. Cross is the founder of the Carolina Knights of the KKK.
This deadly rampage on Sunday serves as a reminder that the Ku Klux Klan has not disappeared. The nation’s most popular white-supremacy organization now faces renewed scrutiny.
The imperial klaliff of the Loyal White Knights, Robert Jones, said the KKK has tripled in size since President Obama’s election. Jones described Cross as a good Christian man who was known for speaking out for what he believes. The imperial klaliff said he thinks Cross was just fed up with the way the world is going; a lot of white people are getting fed up with what people are doing, says Jones.
Residents are worried that they may be facing a “George Zimmerman vs. Trayvon Martin” ordeal. Zimmerman was a self-appointed neighborhood watchman when he shot and killed unarmed Martin. He said he feared for his life and believed Martin was dangerous. Pennsylvania is a state that has a Stand Your Ground law as does Florida, residents fear this would provide the same type of immunity for the KKK as it did for Zimmerman.
Law enforcement of Fairview Township is aware of the actions of Traditionalist American Knights but they cannot stop them from forming a neighborhood watch. According to Lieutenant Jason Loper, although the majority of residents do not agree with the philosophy of the KKK they do have freedom of speech. If police discriminate against them they will open themselves up to a lawsuit.
After a string of break-ins in a Pennsylvania town the Ku Klux Klan has decided to take over neighborhood watch. Widely recognized as one of America’s largest hate groups residents are fearful that this could very easily turn deadly for any ethnicity outside of the Caucasian race.
