Miley Cyrus has hit out at rumors suggesting her recent trip to hospital was due to her partying ways. A number of publications decided to jump on the idea that the 21-year-old was out partying in a way to get over the recent death of her dog, Floyd.
In a statement, which she linked to on her Twitter page, the singer’s reps have confirmed that she was suffering from a sinus infection. The antibiotics to fight the infection have caused an allergic reaction, something that can take up to 27 days to recover from. She will remain in hospital until the doctors are happy that the reaction has cleared up.
That is not good news for fans who have tickets to her show. The Ticket Master website indicates that a number of dates for the show have been put on hold until August. The star’s first date of the rescheduled Bangerz tour will start at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on August 7, rather than April 18. The second will be at the KFC Yum! Center, in Louisville, which was an event that was supposed to take place tomorrow (April 19). All tickets bought for the April dates will be honored for the August events, but fans can also receive a full refund should they find the new dates do not suit them. So far, there are no indications that later dates will need to be postponed but there is also no indication that earlier dates that were cancelled will be rescheduled.
However, Cyrus could not help but take to Twitter to hit out at the hospital rumors. She has made it very clear that she is ill, and doctors are making her stay longer than she wishes. Her health has to come first, and a number of fans are supporting her throughout this. Many of her updates on the social media site have lately been about how much she hates spending time in the hospital, and it is not something she would do to herself.
All Cyrus wants is to get back on tour. She loves performing for her fans, and hates that she is letting them down. The Wrecking Ball singer has also been in tears at the fact that she is on bed rest and in a place she hates.
The rumors started when sources close to the star claimed that her dog’s death was to do with the hospitalization. They stated that she had not been sleeping, had been out partying and was under the stress of her tour. She has been suffering since the beginning of the month, when Floyd was allegedly killed after a coyote attack.
At the moment, the Wells Fargo concert that was pushed forward to April 21 is still on. However, that is subject to change depending on the health of the singer. The date had to be moved forward due to a clash with the event location. All Cyrus wants to do is get back on tour, and is hitting out at the publications spreading rumors and scaring fans about her recent trip to the hospital.
