MTV Movie Awards Coming This Weekend

MTV Movie Awards will air this weekend on Sunday, April 13th and will be hosted by Conan O’Brien. The audience will be in for a great show as usual and this year they will also get a sneak preview of The Amazing Spider Man 2. Lets take a look at some of the categories for Sunday.

This Years Hit Movie, and the nominee’s are….’12 Years a Slave’ directed by Steve McQueen, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ directed by Peter Jackson,  ‘American Hustle directed by David O. Russell,  ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire directed by Francis Lawrence,  and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ directed by Martin Scorsese.

Best Performance by a Male include such great choices as Bradley Cooper and his performance in American Hustle. Leonardo DiCaprio who played the lead in the Wolf of Wall Street, or maybe the choice will be Chiwetel Ejiofor ‘s performance in 12 Years a Slave. Josh Hutcherson  is also nominated for his stellar performance in The Hobbit, and finally Matthew McConaughy playing the tough guy in the Dallas Buyers Club.

Best Performance by a Female include Amy Adams and her performance in  American Hustle, or maybe Lupita Nyong’o  and her dramatic role in 12 Years a Slave. Also nominated is Jennifer Aniston for her hilarious role in We’re the Millers, or Jennifer Lawrence’s role in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and finally Sandra Bullock in the blockbuster Gravity.

Break Out Performance nominee’s are  Liam James role in The Way, Way Back, or  Miles Teller’s performance in The Spectacular Now. Don’t forget Margot Robbie’s stellar role in The Wolf of Wall Street, or Michael B. Jordan’s portrayal in The Fruitvale Station, and finally Will Poulter for his role in We’re the Millers.

Best Duo on Screen, who had the best chemistry? Was it Amy Adams & Christian Bale’s performance in American Hustle, or maybe Jonah Hill & Leonardo DiCaprio’s steamy scenes in  The Wolf of Wall Street. Lets not forget  Ice Cube & Kevin Hart in Ride Along, or Matthew McConaughey & Jered Leto in the critically acclaimed Dallas Buyers Club. Last but not least we have Vin Diesel & Paul Walker for their performance in the Fast and Furious 6.

Best On-Screen Kisscould be won by Ashley Benson, James Franco & Vanessa Hudgens for their hot scene in Spring Breakers.  Jennifer Lawrence & Amy Adams and their scene in American Hustle is also a contender. Maybe Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston & Will Poulter will win for We’re the Millers. Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Scarlett Johansson’s scene in Don Jon, or Shailene Woodley & Miles Teller for The Spectacular Now could also walk away with a win.

Other categories include, Best Villain, Best Musical Moment, Best Comedic Performance, Best On-Screen Transformation, Best Cameo, Best Hero and Favorite Character.

Now lets look at some of the quirky categories included in MTV’s movie awards which will air this weekend!

Best Scared as (you know what) Performance by Brad Pitt in the scary World War Z movie, or Ethan Hawke’s role in The Purge. Also nominated are  Jessica Chastain for her performance in Mama. Lastly we have Rose Byrne for Insidious: Chapter 2, and Vera Farminga for her role in The Conjuring.

Best Topless Performance, is a  popular category that could be had by Chris Hemsworth as his role in Thor: The Dark World. Not limited to just men, we have Jennifer Aniston’s hot performance in We’re the Millers. Leonardo DiCaprio also went shirtless in The Wolf of Wall Street, as did  Sam Claflin in  The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Lastly we have a nomination for  Zac Efron from his role in That Awkward Moment.

Best Fight Scene nominee’s are Jason Bateman as he takes on Melissa McCarthy in their fight in Identity Thief. Maybe Jennifer Lawerence, Josh Hutcherson  and Sam Claflin who have to take on the Monkeys will take the win for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Also up for the award are Jonah Hill against James Fraco and Seth Rogen for their scene in This Is The End. Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly versus the Orcs, in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, are also contenders or The cast of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

#wtf Moment are the things that make you go hmmmm, and the nominee’s are Cameron Diaz for her performance in The Counselor, or possibly Channing tatum and Danny McBride’s work in This Is The End. Johnny Knoxville and Jackson Nicoll always have these moments but are nominated for Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. Another possible contender is Leonardo DiCaprio for his performance in The Wolf of Wall Street, or finally Steve Carell, Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd & David Koechner for their crazy moments in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
