Pharrell Williams was brought to tears on Oprah when watching how his song ‘Happy’ has affected people around the globe. During the interview, Oprah rolls footage of people from all over the world dancing and singing to the pop stars mega hit. When he gets himself under control he asks, “Why am I crying on Oprah?” Then the singer, in the spirit of the moment, laughs at himself. The charismatic singer who is known for his music and his unusual fashion sense opens up to Oprah in this interview. Pharrell has most recently performed at Coachella, and apparently has amassed a fan base that spans the globe. From London to Detroit, scene after scene pops up on the screen, as the audience watches him get more and more emotional. (see video below)
The star who does not seem to age, has opened up on how he stays looking so good. It seems that one of the top searches on Google is whether or not Williams is a vampire, due to the fact that he does not seem to age. Clearing up that rumor he states he does not drink blood, and a simple face washing is his top beauty secret. Next the world will want to know what soap he uses, thinking it is the fountain of youth. The ever young-looking star produces musics for legends like Britney Spears to Jay-Z. He is part of a rap band NERD, has had some ground breaking success with collaborations with Daft Punk on Get Lucky and Blurred Lines with Robin Thicke. Happy is also nominated for an Oscar in Despicable Me 2. It is no wonder that watching the effect Pharrell Williams has on the world brought him to tears during his interview on Oprah.
The world will be waiting for his newest work G I R L, which is due out soon. Will it touch the success of his single Happy? Lets hope so, because more fan video’s like the one shown below on the Oprah show, will make all his fans Happy. As far as his sense of style, he dubs himself as a “self-proclaimed hippy”, and he believes in just doing what feels right. His infamous hat has taken on a life of its own, and even has its own Twitter page! Williams has had a blockbuster year, winning 4 Grammy’s and marrying his long time girlfriend. At 41 he has become a pop icon in his own right. His mark on Pop and Rap music will live on, leaving an indelible mark on the music industry. Standards are set high, and the world will be watching this 41-year-old to see what he comes up with next.
So with his interview on Oprah showing the softer and more emotional side to the ‘fun guy’ as he describes himself, and one of his best years professionally to date, it is easy to fall in love with him all over again. Fans the world round will only look up to Pharrell Williams even more for the emotional tears he shed on Oprah!
