Jennifer Lawrence Stars in New X-Men Movie

Jennifer LawrenceElegantly gowned in a vision of mystique blue velvet from designer Jason Wu, Jennifer Lawrence glided down the darker gray carpet at the New York City premiere opening of the new franchised X-Men movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, which she stars in. The Actress also sported a Kotur handbag and Jimmy Choo heels that complimented the style and color of the dress and her short side swept blonde bob, on which could be arguably one of the most entertaining dates of the young actresses’ life. However, the 23 year old actress admits that she tries to downplay the role of an “it” girl that has been thrust upon her by the masses.

The blonde actress, who has been chosen to star as Mystique in the newly released X-Men movie that debuted on Saturday night in New York City for the global premiere, had chosen not to walk down the carpeted entrance-way with her British boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, opting instead to go it alone in lieu of her co-star and roommate. Although they went their separate ways for the walk on the rug, the Oscar-winning actress still managed to pay homage to her partner, telling reporters that he was great to work with, and that he was also an amazing roommate and made a wonderful boyfriend.

Hoult was on hand to return the remarks made about him by his girlfriend Jennifer Lawrence, saying that it was a great opportunity to be able to actually get to spend time and work with his partner. He went on to say that in the business they are in, acting, it is not always possible to be able to do that. He stressed that Hollywood couples rarely get to spend time together when they are working and that they usually have long periods of time where they do not see each other for perhaps months at a time.

The two had become a couple back in 2011 while on the set of X-Men First Class, but had suffered a relationship break-up last year. They had repaired the rift while filming on the set of the new X-Men movie earlier this year that both Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult star in. It is thought that the opportunity they had to be together on the set of the film had a hand in reciprocating the love they felt towards each other.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is taking on the ambitious task of twisting the past in order to save the future. Although it may sound like a far-fetched dream, the perks to re-writing the characters from the earlier versions of the movie is that the players now have the opportunity to choose in which direction their characters may go. For instance, Mystique, who is played by Jennifer Lawrence, now has the option of staying the assassin that she is so famous for being, or the character may evolve into someone who has no taste or need to kill others for someone else’s agenda, mainly Magneto’s.

Jennifer Lawrence will give a stunning performance as one of the most well-known characters of all time, portraying either an evil villainess or a champion for the mutant cause. It is suspected that this will only be the beginning in a long line of X-Men movies to come. With the new movie reintroducing the stars from the original X-Men movies that left off with X-Men The Last Stand, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin and Halle Berry, it is still unclear if the others will be on hand for the next films to be made and released.

As this is a movie that will differentiate from the past films of the same name, the younger versions of Xavier and Magneto will be taken over by Michael Fassenbender as Magneto and James McAvoy, who will be playing Xavier. However, only James McAvoy gets the chance to meet up with his older self in the movie, who of course is being played by Patrick Stewart. The rest of the movies characters and the movie itself are left wide open to the producers and writers of the future films, if there are, indeed, to be any more. The only sure thing is that Jennifer Lawrence will be cast in the stars role of Mystique in any new X-men movies.
