Cameron Diaz is going all nude in her upcoming film ‘Sex Tape’ which is set to be released on July 25. Diaz stars alongside Jason Segal as a married-with-children couple who want to spice up their sex life. The escapade all goes awry after the sex tape turns up missing.
Diaz, who rose to fame in 1994 in the Jim Carey film Mask, has been steadily working ever-since. Her last film The Other Woman topped the box office back in April.
Sex Tape co-stars Jason Segal of the hit television series How I Met Your Mother. Segal is the writer of the Sex Tape screenplay, and also bares-all in the film.
After appearing in over 45 films, this is the first role requiring Diaz to go completely nude. The 41-year-old actress wasn’t frazzled at all by the experience and noted in a recent interview with Esquire magazine that it was “just a part of the role.” The Diaz interview will appear in the August issue of Esquire which will go on sale July 8.
While Diaz is portraying a busy mom in the film, she has been vocal about her real-life lack of desire to have children until she is good and ready. Additionally, she feels no profound need to marry.
Diaz and Segal star as Annie and Jay; a couple who have been married for a decade and have two children. The years and the children have taken a toll on the sexual spark they once enjoyed, and Annie and Jay decide to spice things up a bit by trying out every sexual position illustrated in the best-selling book The Joy Of Sex. After three hours the mission is accomplished and it’s all on tape, but the next morning Annie and Jay awaken to find their very private sex tape has gone missing.
While Sex Tape is the first time that Diaz is taking it all off for the camera, her career has never been limited to sex-kitten roles. In spite of Diaz’s fit and sexy image, her still-thriving career has remained grounded in comedic roles that are certain to keep her working long after her youth dissipates.
Diaz was born in 1972 in San Diego California. At the age of 16 she began modeling and was featured in major ad campaigns including Calvin Klein and Coke Cola. Her modeling career took her all over the world and she was photographed in major fashion magazines, including Mademoiselle and Seventeen. Her Cuban born father, Emilio Diaz, was a foreman for an oil company. Her mother Billie is of Native American, German, and Italian ancestry.
In 1994 Diaz landed her first film role in Mask. Following Mask Diaz co-starred in a number of films with little to no fanfare until 1997 when she co-starred alongside in Ben Stiller in the brazen Farrelly brothers hit comedy There’s Something About Mary. From there Diaz followed up with two other roles that showcased her performance versatility. She co-starred in the independent hit Being John Malcovich as a dull, unkempt pet store owner, and that role was followed-up by her role in Oliver Stone’s Any Given Sunday as the business-savvy owner of a successful football franchise.
After Diaz is done taking it all off for the new July 25 release of Sex Tape, she will later be starring in the new film version of Annie to be released later this year. Diaz will star in Annie as the mean-spirited foster-mother, Miss Hannigan.
