According to early reports, two people have been shot and and one killed at the Bank of America Trade Operations Building on S. LaSalle Street in Chicago. Police and at least one ambulance are on the scene. Early reports indicate the shootings occurred on the 17th floor of the high-rise office building which is across the street from the Chicago Board of Trade. Early radio reports indicated that the armed suspect was still in the building.
Several stores nearby including the men’s clothing store Jos. A Bank and the women’s outlet Ann Taylor immediately locked their doors. According to eyewitness reports, the initial scene was “chaotic” and at least one victim has been removed from the building.
UPDATE: One person has been killed, the other wounded. Early reports now indicate the fatality may have been the shooter.
