Comedian and former Full House star, Dave Coulier married Melissa Bring, his girlfriend of almost 10 years, on Wednesday, July 2, and is set to start up a “full house” of his own. Several members of the cast of Full House were in attendance in Montana, where the wedding was held.
Though the Olsen twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley, did not attend the wedding ceremony, the cast members who were there included John Stamos, Bob Saget, Andrea Barber, and Candace Cameron Bure. They saw their friend and fellow co-star, Dave Couilier, 54, enter into the state of matrimony with his fiancée, Melissa Bring. Bring is a photographer and producer.
The wedding was relatively small and private, described by some sources as being a “country wedding,” with only friends and family in attendance. The invited guests shared photos of the event that they posted on Instagram so that Full House fans would be able to get a glimpse of what the wedding was like.
According to E! News, the wedding was the culmination of an entire week of celebration that David Coulier and his bride had with their closest friends and family members.
David Coulier asked Melissa to marry him in December. The couple decided to keep their engagement and upcoming wedding a secret until this June.
Coulier’s former cast members all seemed thrilled to get the chance of the person they came to know as “Uncle Joey” get hitched on Wednesday. Candace, who played D.J. Tanner, along with some of the other former cast members, even took to Twitter to express their happiness for the newly-wedded couple and congratulate them.
Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner on Full House, had a speech prepared for the occasion to give as a toast to the happy couple, though it is not known if he actually gave it. Candace stated that she was looking forward to hearing it, though she would probably need tissues ready “because there will be tears streaming down from crying and laughing so hard.”
Saget’s sense of humor and jokes on Full House were mild in comparison to his stand-up comedy routines, which are funny but laced with profanities. His speech would likely have had his friends laughing in the aisles, though it might not have gotten past the ABC censors back in the early 1990s.
John Stamos, Jesse Katsopolis on the sitcom, is another former cast member who posted an Instagram photo. The photo was of a smiling Dave Doulier, with a caption explaining that he looked happy because “@dcoulier @melissabring.”
Candace Cameron Bure posted a number of photos on Instagram. One of the photos was of her and John Stamos wearing a cowboy hat. Another one was of her and Andrea Barber, and she also posted one of herself with David Coulier, who was dressed casually, wishing them both a “Happy wedding day.”
David Coulier spoke to People and Coulier stated that “after almost 10 years of being together,” they both decided “we would just make it a lifetime.”
When Candace Cameron Bure was interviewed by People in June, she related that the former cast members see each other “all the time, so it will just be another fun time together.”
On Wednesday, July 2, former Full House star David Coulier married his girlfriend of nearly 10 years, Melissa Bring. In attendance were many of the couples’ friends and family members, as well as a number of former Full House cast members, to be with David and his bride as they celebrated the happy event and began their life together as husband and wife.
