Kate Gosselin is in the news again and reportedly is being accused of telling her nannies to eavesdrop on phone conversations her eight children have with their father, and her ex-husband, Jon. It is definitely no secret that Kate and Jon have a tumultuous connection at best.
The two have publicly insulted one another many times so these most recent of accusations have only brought fuel to the fire. An insider who claims to be close to Kate, age 39, shared details over the reality star’s supposed spying demands. There was an alleged “babysitter rulebook” that Gosselin put together for all her nannies to follow.
The supposed book reportedly included Kate’s orders over everything from indoor responsibilities to outdoor duties which included landscaping and maintaining a flock of chickens. She also included instructions for all the children’s phone conversations with Jon. Calls with their father were to be limited and all conversations were to be passed on immediately.
Kate reportedly wrote that the kids could call Jon only when they asked permission and used the house phone. She allegedly informed the nannies they did not have to grant permission if they were busy or scheduling did not allow for it IE such as bed time, shower time, dinner time, room cleaning time or homework time. She also supposedly told them to keep one ear open and have the kids stand nearby when they were on the phone.
One nanny stated that she had to allegedly tell Kate everything. She said that if she and Jon had a conversation about nothing, she had to give Kate all of the details and that she also was required to keep a log of each time Jon brought back a van they shared in order to make sure he had used the proper amount of gas.
The nanny declared that Kate was “overwhelming” and “condescending” but that she had no complaints about Jon. She said that what little time she allegedly spent around him was fairly enjoyable.
Because of this or in spite of it, a new two hour special without Jon aired back on June 19 and June 26 which gave viewers a glimpse into how their lives are now. The twins, Maddy and Cara are age 13, and the sextuplets were close to reaching age 10. The special brought viewers up to date on Kate and all eight children. It showed the excursion of the entire Gosselin family as they planned a huge tenth birthday party for the sextuplets.
For anyone who did not see it, there were interviews with each of the kids and of course Kate. All eight kids appeared happy and seemed to be doing extremely well. There were also numerous highlights which showed clips from past shows and everyone talked about how it felt growing up in front of a television camera.
It is unknown at the present time if this special was a one-time deal or if Kate and the kids are returning to TLC for another regular basis reality show but time and ratings will let everyone know soon enough. Regardless there will be controversy, if for nothing else than what was discussed in the first part of this article, that being Gosselin is in the news again and reportedly is being accused of telling her nannies to ease drop on phone conversations her eight children have with their father, and her ex-husband, Jon.
