Research Team Investigating Mysterious Crater at 'End of the World'

A science research team is investigating a mysterious crater which has appeared at what is called “the end of the world” at the Yamal peninsula of northern Siberia. It has left a pit nearly 262 feet wide, nearly the size of a football field, and so deep it has yet to be measured. No cause has been figured out as of yet.

The researchers are confounded about its dramatic appearance. Some have ventured that it could have been created when a meteorite hit the Earth. Others believe an underground explosion could have occurred or maybe a sinkhole was produced when rock collapsed. It has even been stated that the pit is evidence of arrival of UFOs landing on the planet.

The huge hole showed up very near to a wooded area close to Yamal’s largest gas field. Specialists are confident that a scientific explanation will be found for the reason behind the pit and they added they fully believe that it is definitely not any indication of some sort of arrival of UFOs showing up on Earth.

The researchers have run a few reports and also filmed footage which shows the darkened color of the crater. The scientists explained that the dark hues point to some sort of temperature processes but they failed to go into any more detail of explaining what they could have meant. Speculation says that the blackened edges along the innermost rim indicates that its formation was escorted by severe red-hot scorching along the edges. Numerous observers think they saw dry soil or water dropping down into the cavity.

The scientific research was put together by Yamal specialists. It included two specialists from the Center for the Study of the Arctic and one from the Cryosphere Institute of the Russian Sciences. The two of them along with a professional who comes from the Ministry of Russian Emergencies, were planning on taking various types of water, soil and air samples from the scene. A spokesperson for the research team told the media that the scientists were definitely sure that a meteorite had not struck the Earth but they had no other details at the present time.

Preliminary images and reports were at first thought to be fakes and hoaxes but the science research team wants the world to know that the giant hole is a very real occurrence and they think it probably happened about two years ago.

The science research team continues to investigate the mysterious crater which has appeared at what is called “the end of the world” at the Yamal peninsula of northern Siberia. It has left a pit nearly 262 feet wide, nearly the size of a football field, and is so deep it has yet to be measured.

The strange sink hole has been found on the northern part of Siberia. As of this time, there is no known cause as to why the crater formed. It is a definite mystery.
