'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' Official Teaser Trailer

After a few trailer teasers which had already been released to the public that focused mainly on President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and had Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) standing next to him, also dressed all in white, fans were able to finally get a chance to see a trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 that instead dwelled more on the entire movie. It aired at Comic-Con International in San Diego, California this past weekend and reports say fans went nuts. Now it is available to the entire world and it is below for the reader’s viewing pleasure.

The footage focuses heavily on the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his role as Plutarch Heavensbee, who states that Katniss is “the face of this rebellion.” The film clip is fittingly titled “Our Leader the Mockingjay,” and ends with Katniss vowing to take up the cause and join the fight.

The global phenomenon that is The Hunger Games remains setting the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. That will find Katniss attempting to live in District 13 after she literally destroys the wicked Hunger Games forever. Under the governance of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the guidance of her trusted friends, Katniss finally becomes the Mockingjay and allows her wings to spread as she battles to save Peeta and fight for a nation that is stimulated by her courage and determination.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 is directed by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’s lead Francis Lawrence. It was taken from a screenplay that was written by Danny Strong and Peter Craig. The movie has been produced by Color Force in connection with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the movie is based is the third in the Hunger Games book trilogy that was written by author Suzanne Collins. It is entitled The Mockingjay and has over 65 million copies in print in the United States alone.
