Netflix continues to up its game with new movie offerings and other viewing options available for streaming in September 2014. In September, the streaming media giant will continue adding to its extensive library and offering members a vast variety of viewing options from its own Emmy-nominated, original programming, new movie and TV show releases, as well as classic programming just made available via streaming. Here are some of the new streaming options available for viewing on Netflix in September 2014.
On September 1, new titles for viewing on Netflix will include the 1980 classic, coming-of-age film The Blue Lagoon starring Brooke Shields (Suddenly Susan), and the 1986 comedy-adventure-romance film Crocodile Dundee starring Paul Hogan (The Paul Hogan Show) and Linda Kozlowski (Almost an Angel), which spawned two sequels in 1988 and 2001. Other new viewing options for streaming on September 1 will also include the 1987 Robin Williams classic film Good Morning, Vietnam, as well as the late actor’s 1997 Flubber, which was a remake version of classic films Son of Flubber (1963) and The Absent-Minded Professor (1961), which starred legendary film and TV actor Fred MacMurray (My Three Sons). For TV lovers, all seven seasons of the Showtime hit series, Californication, starring X-Files‘ David Duchovny and Evan Handler (Sex and the City), will also become available for streaming on September 1.
On September 5, other new streaming options available for viewing on Netflix in September 2014 include the 2013 Oscar-nominated movie, All Is Lost, starring Robert Redford (The Sting) in a career-defining performance. While on September 11, the 2009 Colin Firth film, A Single Man, and the 2014 James McAvoy flick, Filth, will also become available for viewing. Followed by the 2013 indie film, Grace Unplugged, starring AJ Michalka (Six Feet Under) and James Denton (Desperate Housewives), which will become available for streaming on September 12. On September 16, the 2010 film, Beginners, starring Ewan McGregor (August: Osage County) and veteran actor Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music), as well as 2012’s Oscar-winning flick, Silver Linings Playbook, which was directed by David O. Russell (The Fighter) and starred Jennifer Lawrence (American Hustle and The Hunger Games), Bradley Cooper (The Hangover), and Robert DeNiro (Raging Bull), will be available for viewing. The film also netted a Best Actress Oscar for Lawrence.
Other new streaming options for TV lovers include Season 2 of NBC series, Revolution, on September 22, followed by the ninth and final season of CBS hit series How I Met Your Mother and Season 6 of NBC series Parks and Recreation, which will both become available for viewing on September 26. While the fourth season of AMC’s juggernaut hit series, The Walking Dead, and the 2012 Brad Pitt mob flick, Killing Them Softly, will help draw the new viewing options in September to a close when they become available for streaming on September 28 and 30, respectively.
Other new viewing options available for streaming on Netflix in September 2014 include the ninth season of FOX hit series, Bones, starring David Boreanaz (Angel) and Emily Deschanel (Crossing Jordan), the first season of NBC’s About a Boy, starring Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), and the 2014 Kevin Coster assassin flick, 3 Days to Kill, will help round out the new offerings for streaming in September. Viewers continue to benefit from Netflix’s commitment to offering its members an extensive library of new movies and other viewing options available for streaming in September 2014, as well as every month of the year.
