Oklahoma Police Report Murder-Suicide of Four Individuals, Including Two Children

In Oklahoma, Tulsa Police are reporting that they are investigating a reported murder-suicide after law enforcement discovered four individuals, including two young children, deceased in a Tulsa apartment early on Tuesday morning. Police answered an emergency call to the Bradford Townhouses Apartments, located at 109th East Avenue, about 12:30 a.m. When they got to the apartment, they discovered four dead bodies located inside, stated a Tulsa Police spokesperson.

It is being reported that apparently an individual was visiting the apartment complex with one of the apartment residents. When they arrived, they found the four individuals all deceased. An adult male, age 35, a female, age 22, were discovered along with a young girl, age 5, and a toddler boy, age 3.

There was another toddler on scene as well, a small girl, age 2, who was discovered unhurt inside the apartment. She was found sitting on a couch, stated the Oklahoma State police. Law investigators have decided that the alleged shooter was the estranged husband of the woman and their two youngsters.

Several hours before she was killed, the female had left the children at the apartment where the father was residing with two other males. She came back late Monday night and had the 2-year-old with her at that time. Tulsa police believe she was shot and killed soon afterwards.

It was also established that the 2-year-old toddler girl was not a relative of the victims. However she was related to one of the other males who lived in the apartment complex. The infant was later reunited with her mother. She is considered the only actual eyewitness to the occurrence so far in the investigation.

An initial investigation of the four bodies indicated evidence of gunshot wounds, but police detectives at the scene will not know for sure what killed them until the Oklahoma Medical Examiner determines and releases the official cause and manner of all the deaths.

Sergeant Dave Walker, of the Tulsa Police Department, stated that each of the victims, none of whom that have been identified yet, are allegedly reported to have come from Guatemala. It is also believed that they had no other relation residing in the United States.

The sergeant explained that it appeared the female surprised the male in some way and he shot her then killed their children. ¬†After that he apparently took his own life. The three murder victims brings Tulsa’s homicide total to 35 for 2014 so far. The police hope that rate slows down the rest of the year.
