R2-D2 Takes Part in ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

R2-D2 had been recruited to take part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge because it seems that just about every human being on Earth has already been asked and dared to take part in the challenge, if one actually keeps count of such things. The way things seem to be progressing, by this time next month, every single person on planet Earth will have been given the chance of accepting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge but that is actually a good thing.

However along with all the dares occurring on this world, that means that a galaxy far, far away has also been recruited to aid in helping with the challenge, it seems. So with that comes sweet and wonderful R2-D2. Even though the robot is an android and lives in a reality that is extremely averse to any kind of water, iced or otherwise, just about every person’s beloved automated sidekick decided to go ahead and accept the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge like the grand sport he is.

He must have been given the challenge from someone who actually, covertly detests the loveable little droid. It was apparently done by an unknown “friend” on Facebook. Afterwards R2 went on and challenged Grant Imahara and Anthony Daniels.

Where the majority of individuals just experience discomfort after they are covered in ice water, R2-D2 was actually risking his own life to help out with the charity. He is that devoted to helping out with the cause. The timeworn vessel of circuits and transistors decided to go ahead with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, even though his old pal C-3P0 was nowhere around to translate his beeps and whistles for everyone who was there to watch. Again it is a total mystery who nominated the little guy. Also too, was the person on the up and up or was he or she trying to bring harm to R2-D2 because they definitely had to know if the little guy accepted the challenge, he was most definitely putting his little robotic life in peril.

However R2 attempted to try and take as many precautions as possible before the ice water was dumped on him. He made sure that he was wrapped in protective layers of plastic so that the ice water did not do too much damage to his circuits yet it is unknown if that was able to protect the little robot very well or not.

The ice bucket honors were performed by a Tusken Raider dumping it on R2’s head. However there was a somber turn of events where it appears that the Raider appeared to use another astromech droid’s head as the ice bucket. With any luck, R2 soon got out of the area because soon after the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, it had to be known that the Sand Person was going to come back later one and have a much greater number of ice buckets to throw on poor R2-D2.

Even though the video stops before R2 is able to nominate anyone on camera, as was mentioned above, at some time after the challenge, he nominated Grant Imahara Anthony Daniels. It is also assumed that he just might also nominate Optimus Prime, Wall-E and Johnny Five but they are up for grabs.

R2-D2 was given a dare to be in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The way things seem to be progressing, by this time next month, every single person on planet Earth will have been given the chance of accepting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge but that is actually a good thing.
