Double Agent for Israel Reveals Inner Workings of Hamas [Video]

A son of Sheik Hassan Yousef, the top Hamas leader in the West Bank, Mosab Hassan Yousef, was inculcated within the culture of Islam as much as anyone. However, something was different about him. The former president of the Islamic Youth Movement spent 10 years within Hamas’ top leadership as a double agent for Israel. He worked from 1997 to 2007 for Shin Bet, one of Israel’s three security agencies and the group that had previously imprisoned Yousef several times.

Yousef’s information during those years prevented dozens of assassinations and suicide attacks. Further, he laid bare a number of Hamas cells and assisted Israel in hunting down any number of militants, not the least of which was his own father. “To collaborate with Israel is the most shameful thing,” he said.

Son of Hamas was the autobiography he published in 2010. He applied for and received political asylum with the U.S. that same year. Mosab Hassan Yousef later converted to Christianity and now lives in the state of California in the U.S.

His indictments of Islam are sharp and astonishing. He says that the biggest terrorist of all “is Allah of the Koran. The God of Islam.”

An interviewer pointed out that Muslims, for his speaking so frankly, will try to kill him. “They will, they will,” he said. “If they will kill me, they will kill this body. But the question: What about my soul? What about my ideas? What about my beliefs that I shared with everybody? Will they be able to kill this? I don’t think so.”

Yousef is critical of the Koran itself, saying that those who read that particular holy scripture and really listen and believe that they are the true words of Allah, “I think they are sick and they need help.”

He concedes that, although it looks from the outside that Islam is growing, he is confident that, actually, it is collapsing. It does not supply people with answers, he says, and does not improve their lives. “It’s not helping them at all.” He predicted that Islam will be gone from the Earth within 10 years.

Speaking about the large number of casualties in the recent seven weeks of fighting in the Gaza Strip, Yousef said Israel had “no choice,” saying that that country needed to be clear. “Hamas doesn’t care about Palestinians,” he said. The militant group “killed hundreds of them. They even killed them in the mosques…. They torture and kill their own people.”

Muslims sheiks and religious people, he said, cherry-pick what parts of the Koran to quote, using it to promote their venal ideology. “If it’s wartime they’re talking about jihad. They bring the verses that…. So it’s like a very political religion and this way I discovered that Islam is the most bipolar [religion] on Earth. That you can find whatever you want” in the Koran. Seeking clarity, an interviewer asked if the Koran contradicts itself, to which Mosab Hassan Yousef replied “In so many ways.”

Continuing his scathing judgment of Islam itself, Yousef says that, yes, Hamas is a problem, but the more fundamental problem “is the God of Islam.” He admits that such words, especially from someone formerly respected as a top leader of Hamas, put him in extreme jeopardy. But “this is a reality about this God. He is a God of torture.” He says that the core of Islam is a lie which is “wrapped with some facts and truths.” Pointing out that he is a person that “understands exactly what Islam is all about,” he continues, saying “It’s the biggest lie in history, in my opinion.”

There is no testable/observable evidence for the existence of gods. In this fact we find all religions equal in their propositions. However, not all religions are equal in their practice. With that said….I find islam to be a particularly detestable worldview. That last bit is called an opinion and I am entitled to it. Allans Snackbar!

Quran 10:37 “This Quran could not have been produced by anyone other than God. In fact, it is a confirmation of what preceded it, and an elaboration of the Book. There is no doubt about it-it is from the Lord of the Universe.”
